Old weapons as costumes?

Is there really no way to get old weapon costumes like Axe of the Forsworn or other leveling weapons?
Returning player, haven't played since ~2013

    We as a community have pushed forward for this. In fact, there is an on going effort from both the community and EME, to bring most of the old weapon models, into the game as skins. With the old remodeling system gone, this is all we can do.

    However, we have yet to hear from @CobaltDragon or @seandynamite On the Part 2 update of the Fashion Coupons, and its been around 2 months since.

    I can assume that the hold up is from BHS corporate heads not wanting to lose the very few players who would opt for an old in game lore friendly weapon skin instead of the newest modern world glowing cash shop derp. At least the expensive but nice looking noctenium skin is available at the FC shop right now among a few not so bad looking skins. But yeah, this game has a BUNCH of forgotten stuff that is great looking. Mostly the stuff around level 35 to 50+. Some of those were nice skins indeed.

    They just need to wake up, instead of making so many ridiculous costumes and skins (mounts too) they need to go back to the basics.

    I'm going to assume the hold up is that EME just doesn't prioritize the free fashion coupon shop, especially with no CM.

    Reminder: Spacecats was asked about this 2.5 years ago, and said "Give me some pictures of those skins" and we did, and the thread was locked after pages and pages of really cool older weapon skins.

    Reminder: SeanDynamite said an update to in-game shops was coming in October 2017, and it's now May 2018 and we've only had 1) the Fed Bill shop removed and 2) fed items added to FC shop with a handful of other things (and yet still other FC items were removed.)

    I suppose the answer is "EME will get to it when we get to it."
