How is the mystic auto revive skill supposed to work?

So ti says that if you take the glyph, the caster receives the benefit. Which to me means the first time I die, I am supposed to get an auto res. But I have NEVER seen this work, so what is it supposed to do?

    It gives you a buff that lasts 20 minutes, it's essentially a free revive until the buff wears off.

    Lockon to people to cast > Cast it > receive buff > Die within the next 20 minutes > DECLINE THE GOLD RES (if you're still receiving them) > Accept the free res pop up from Vow

    To get the free res, if the buff is still up you have to cancel the rookie / neophite res
    You will get a new prompt for the free res that sais you can ressurect on the spot.

    Just press options go to use other revive and then it will pop up
