Battleground Matching

I have an interesting issue really that I'm not sure if its affecting other people or just me. I log on and play a few hours a day, The entire time i sit in battleground matching and never find a match. i even cancel the que every once in a while and retry it, makes no difference. Typically im queing for Iron battleground, which i understand for whatever reason people play less, but i never had an issue of never finding games at all until about a week ago. and the curious thing is I have 1 alt, and while the matching for iron battleground is slow, i am able to find matches on it. Is there something im doing that is affecting my ability to find matches? or is my character just bugged in a not cool way? or have people really all just decided to not play battlegrounds unless im on my alt.

    Problem just random chance most people don't do it because kuma gives better rewards

    was my first thought, even though argueable which one actually gives better rewards (once your at 65 at least). But its such a more tolerable mini game versus the entirely terrible kumas for a marginal at best increase in leveling xp. But at this point im at about 25 hours of sitting in battle matching since my last match, my alt typically gets a match in 15-20 minute max. So I'm doubting the bad luck/timing theory

    I started having the same problem on my Mystic.

    I was able to queue for Corsair's just fine, got lots of pops. I got to rank #1.

    Then yesterday, at the beginning of a raid, I was raid leader, so I was going through the raid to clear out some offline people and make sure each group had one healer so I could give orders based on groups.

    Then it kicked me off for being AFK. I got a loss and it made me rank 6. After that, instance matching it stuck me on crappy teams 6 games in a row, of people who just fart around and do nothing... offliners, people who commit [filtered], no coordination, everyone argues about orders and insults each other.

    Now, despite being in the top 5 players on each of those games, my rank sucks due to the overall losses, and I can't get a queue to pop at all.

    This really sucks. BTW I am on XBOX.
