Basics: Tiers & Enhancement
This increases your item level a lot
The tier defines how good, rare and how hard to enhance is the gear. For each tier you need the same tier alkahest and feedstock for enhancements. The masterwork alkahests and similar ones can be used for any tier but you use them earliest after +9.
Currently tier 9 is the gear from IL 355 dungeons and tier 10 from IL 410 dungeons. Tier 11 is the top tier gear and always the very hard to get one. You have to farm IL 417 dungeons for them and collect materials to craft them. You can also buy those materials from other players in vendor.
While enhancements on tier 9 have a high successrate until +12, on tier 10 you will experience way more fails, so beware and never want too much per try or day. Not even mentioning the rates on tier 11.
One thing you should know is that you shouldn´t equip tier 10 if it´s not +12, because tier 9 on +12 remains better in any way until your WHOLE tier 10 set is +11 or better +12. Accessoires you can equip seperated though, but also only if you have the full accessoires set, because of the bonus stats again.
Basics: Statrolls(-rerolls)
This increases your item level a lot
There are 4 random stats on weapon and armor and 3 on the boots and gloves. You must reroll those stats to get the best for your class but also to increase your item level. Those stats are very, VERY important for your damage and defense. So find out the best stats for your class and reroll for your best gold stats. For a reroll you need 2 scrolls. One simple enigmatic scroll and one simple identification scroll from npc seller until +9. After masterwork you need the higher grade ones you get from dungeons or vendor.
A serious reroll for perfect stats you should do after masterwork though, don´t waste your binding scrolls before MW.
Basics: Masterwork
This increases your item level a lot
After +9 you can make masterwork. At each tier it´s harder to make. Masterwork and reroll goes all at once though, you basically use the same ressources for it. Each time you reroll stats it tries to do masterwork with the given scroll. For tier 9 you can use simple or blue scrolls from dungeons or vendor, but for tier 10 you should use blessed scrolls to have a decent chance, seriously. The rates on tier 10 aren´t really funny. Masterwork grants you access to even higher stats and you can make your item +12 now.
Basics: Crystals
The first thing you should know is that you have to buy complete crystal binds so your crystals are not breaking after a wipe. Each complete crystal bind remains active for 12 hours and it doesn´t take log out time into account. You get those from vendor or by killing Lv 65+ BAMS and also from dungeon bosses. I won´t explain every crystal here, but i guess it is obvious that damage dealers should use backcrit crystals + focussed + flat damage/critrate crystal & general damage reduction crystals(hardened)... aaand tanks same on armor but on weapon front damage/aggro/flat damage/x crystal. Crystals you get from vendor and vanguard points.
How to get better gear?
You can simply go dungeons or also do daily solo stuff for it. Combine both to get the best and fastest results. The dailys are called vanguard tasks and you get different tokens and feedstock from it so as some gold. Tough those are my tips to get gear:
Once you are 65 you can get starters gear chests by doing the red quest from Dougal in Highwatch. With this you can start your journey of gear grinding and dungeon unlocking.
Weapon: Get the tier 9 from dungeons(demokron factory) and the tier 10 from dungeons(shadow sanguinary).
Armor: Get tier 9 from dungeons(demokron factory, kalivan´s dreadnought) and tier 10 from dungeons(lilitas fortress, shadow sanguinary).
Accessoires: Here the intercede tokens come in. The first thing you spend them on are tier 10 accessoires and parallel to do doing the vanguard dailys(BAM kills and solo instances) you queue for Kaprima where you get earrings and necklace also. If your intercede token dailys are used up but you can still go celestial arena and the solo rush dungeons, go for them! They still give you intercede tokens without dailys.
Tier 9 accessoires you easily get from IL 355 dungeon tokens anyway, thus they don´t get mentioned here much.
The succubus tokens you should collect for enhanced t10 accessoires. There is nothing else they are worth to spend for. You get those tokens from all dungeons starting with IL 355 ones.
You can also reroll the stats from accessoires.
Glyphs: After you got all your tier 10 accessoires you can use your intercede tokens to buy the blue glyph chests for your class. It is very important to max your glyphs(blue is max) so you need less glyph points and you are able to use more glyphs - and some glyphs can make your class way stronger maxed. Warrior is agood example for it, some glyphs on max completely change this class and make it having way more damage potential.
Standard and common green glyphs you can get via spaming mallecius catacombs and sabex armory.
You can also use up your vanguard points to buy glyph tickets for a fixed choice of glyphs at vanguard officer.
Underwear & brooch: Actually you can buy them in vendor, they got common in there now. If you want to grind for it though you have to do ghillieglade 4 times a day, i think most underwears are coming from the underwear tokens you get there. It takes very long though, just buy them from vendor. Brooches you easily get in dungeons while grinding for the other stuff, but you can also buy them in vendor, this comes in handy if you are looking for the right statrolls.
All those items increase your item level so it´s important to have them all, obviously they are also increasing your stats.
How to get gold
While vanguards are good for beginners, people who want the real deal just collect any feedstock they get from dungeons and dailys and selling it in vendor so as all materials too, if you don´t need them. There is not much to say... making gold is fairly easy if you don´t want to do everything at once. An additional source is using vanguard points to buy and resell expansive crystals.

Uhhhh....Small amended needed here.
All DPS use Back-crit crystals (Savage + Spiteful (For Range)/Bitter (For Melee)) With a Focused (+Crit power to enrage monsters which is multipled by Enrage damage lines making it stronger) with Either Pounding (Flat damage, most go for this), Carving (Not many really use this much save for a few classes) or Forceful (Power on Back crits, classes with low power IE: Sorc and Ninja (when it's released) may want to use this as it gives more damage if you're under a certain power threshold after all buffs (I think 190 total power is the fall off, i forget).
Tanks are Similar, Focused for enrage damage boost with Wrathful (Frontal crit) with a Pounding (Or carving if Lancer prefers or Warrior tank...or heaven forbid you're being macho as a Zerk tank) and another pounding (which can and should be swapped for Threatening if you're struggling to keep aggro. If you're good with aggro, then you can drop this)
For armour, EVERYONE uses Hardies as it's flat damage reduction to EVERYTHING. Specific crystals like Anarchic/Mutionous etc are pretty pointless as you'll have to keep swapping all the time. Much easier to use Hardies

Changed this, i forgot anarchic crystals are ONLY for bosses^^
You have to go to the items menu and select "Enchantment effect reset" then use a masterwork enigmatic scroll (or blessed enigmatic scroll if you p2w) and press the Y or Triangle button until it says "Congratulations your item is now masterworked" then you can proceed to enchant it like normal except you have to use rare, extensive or masterwork alkahests instead of tiered alkahests.
Current tiers on Console Version:
- Tier 9: Slaughter set.
- Tier 10: Guile and Imperator set.
- Tier 11: Ambush set.
I only had to buy an extra 150 tier 9 allahest on the broker for like 1800 gold. I’m guessing they gave me a lot of stuff on those boxes. I only needed to use about half of the extensive and master alkahests I had to get everything to +12. I was expecting a long grind to get to 410 but it took one day and only 1800 gold

Question about statrolls. Is there a cheaper solution than buying spellbinds to lock in the stats you like while rerolling the others? Or do you just forego the spellbinds and keep rerolling all of it random until it works out? I spent so much money on spellbinds last night... Wonder if I did it wrong.
Just keep rolling until you're 3/4 (or 4/5 for Ambush) on your gear then use spellbinds to lock in the 3 you want while fishing for the last one. If possible, save the top line for last as there's not *that* many options in there since they're all golden rolls, opposed to the bottom line where it's gold AND green rolls in the mix
