Has this game always had blatant pay to win ? (re: Elite Status)? Is it really noticeable in game?

    pay to win???? ha ha ha funny. elite status...even funnier. go play bot n sell out or bdo. you will see what pay to win really looks like. here its more like pay for convienance rather than pay to win. elite is pretty much worthless now...ok, you get twice as many dailies, and double the dungeon entries, but for elite to be worth it, you need to run 5 or more characters and spend 10-12 hours a day or more. but its whatever. anything you want in the game, you can buy with in game gold with the exception of server transfers. all it takes is time and grind.

    Just in case you are actually not trolling and in case someone else may read this thread in the future...

    Elite perks actually look insanely p2w if you check on the Tera website, as it mentions some potion with huge stat boost. What it doesn't say is that the exact same potion drops in-game constantly and is extremely cheap (like doing one 10-min daily gives you enough gold to buy a stack that last days or weeks). It's very misleading and may convince new players that this game is more p2w than in reality.

    Buying elite status feel like paying a suscription to only get a thak you card from that bussiness you are spending you money.

    Nothing really relevant.

    About P2W, maybe Liberation scrolls and Flying mounts that give you bonus stats and you can only get them from cash shop. If no one pay real money for them there would not be at broker.
