What happened to some costumes?

What happened with the nightfall weapons skin and the 2013 maid dyeable costume will never return to the store?

They were retired from the shop. They now come back from time to time on promotions and events.

As had happened with other costumes, these will most likely be part of events or sales. Seriously, the current direct buy cash shop selection looks depressing. Even the rng box section looks bad, and that's quite a thing to say...

there is literally all the same and nothing changes in shop. the most nice weapon skins ninja themed arent there. some outfits also not there.
idk how they are thinking to make money if they cut a lot of stuff that people really would love to spend money for.

My guess is that they're adopting seasonal shop items like other mmos I've seen (bns, bdo, etc). The shorter amount of time an item is available, the more pressured people feel to buy it if they want it. So by creating artificial demand for an otherwise limitless stock of digital item, they'll inflate sale gains. It really does seem like EME is adopting this style of cash shop since they've been doing things like having brand new items (frost suits, duck steps, flower steps) only available for a very brief time before pulling them from the store entirely.

Very sad because I have few things I would buy in amount of 2-3 and they are not in shop.

I understand about rotations to the shop's wares to both prevent everyone from having the same stuff at the same time, and to make people yearn to have some old stuff and make people more willing to buy when it's re-released. Seasonal stuff has always remained seasonal and that's a good thing. But there's a line in terms of quantity that I believe shouldn't be crossed, and I feel it's being crossed right now.

Last time I went to the shop, they had removed the three cosmetic sections and shoved everything into a single one. Before, you had separate sections for clothing, weapon skins and accessories, and each had a fair bit of stuff. Now, pressing the "Character" tab puts you right into the listings with all items for direct sale, and the current page count is only 6. And that's also counting cosmetic themed rng loot boxes which are also shown there and not only at the loot box section.

The clothing selection is not small, but there's stuff that has been sitting there for a very long while (I'm looking at you, fur suits), while there has been older stuff we have not seen in there in probably years (like the non dyeable steampunk outfits). Accessories is more or less fine too. But the section most hurt is the weapon skins part. Gone are:
    the ninja weapons,
    the rosethorn,
    the foodie skins,
the classic first set of weapon skins (tome of knowledge, red hammer, lancer's sword. etc..),
    flamingo,
    icetouch,
    black dragon,
    regular steampunk,
:and whatever else I may be forgetting. Even the rng box section may be lacking in weapon skins but at least the ones at offer are not that bad.

So really, the shop right now could use a bit of an update.
  • It fells like a lot of costumes are missing. Some are gone from store, and we can't get unless we pay 300 k gold on broker. And that's not tha worst part. The most depressing is to see the dead market that we have now, especially AV, there is just a few costumes listed and for insane prices. EME could present a solution to revive the market. This is good for both parts, after all its important that EME have a good financial health to continue and improve our game experience.

Pls @seandynamite, could u get us a feedback about this issue ?
  • As far as I remember the dyeable maid costumes were never in the cash shop to begin with. Part of some event from 2013/2014. The binding timestamp of mine is from 2014, and I'm pretty sure it was an event

It's typical that they bring retired items back for the anniversary, and the very last week on the anniversary calendar has "Classic Item Blowout"... so my guess is that a lot of these items will be coming back in not too long.

The store always have shown accesories, costumes and weapon skins on character tab, you only need to pass over the mouse without doing click on it,

It's not doing that for me anymore, unless something's not working as intended. All I get is the click-to-see-all button and that's it.
