Priests getting massive contribution on Guardian Missions

    I did not know the exact details but i have checked as well and it seems that the priest will be nerfed around two times in the near future on NA and once more in the distant future.

    I think that it was fine with priests/mystics doing well because it was making them to actually want to come and bother with guardian missions. And every other player was gaining a bonus from AOE healings and debuffs on boss ( 10% endurance debuff is actually visible ).

    Now, the less healers we are going to have around then the less AOE healings and debuffs on bosses.. So tanks/dps will be at loss as well.

    p.s. i am not sure if it was worth it

    :shrug: Guess people will be at a loss without priests providing estars as well..no more 5% cdr just because they're sad we can actually provide contribution (which btw as stated earlier is moot in most circumstances)

    Ah well come any URF I'll still go and spam 2 skills and out contribute most of the people who complain anyways.

    But then dps will be in top and healers can't outdamage them ! :lol:

    Heals and buffs ...meh!

    Dps will be at top but they will lose in the long run because we will see much less priests debuffs on bosses and it is not like there are too many mystics around either. Also, they will spend more time dodging or being dead at the "fireball boss" since there will be no priests with holy bursts anymore to AOE heal them for 15k up to 25k every 10 seconds.

    Plus, most of the players are doing guardians missions wrong because they use a standard dungeon build assuming that the guardian bosses are the same from dungeons but that is wrong because for example for guardians missions on gunner/brawler i go with full power build and i do so much more damage compared with a mixed crit/power build ( on brawler i ended up from 45minutes up to 30minutes but with slaying of course ).

    The truth is that the healers were never overpowered but instead most of the dps players used a standard setup for PvE which in return it was plain wrong for guardians ( unfortunately, i have noticed that most of the players that do guardians do not even understand their class and also do not even know that they have exaggerated crit factor with some of their skills that have glyphs with x2 or x3 crit factor plus some skills that have a very high chance to crit themselves so they go with +230 or +250 crit factor anyway ).

    p.s. my brawler has +120 crit factor for guardians and that is with a bulgogi

    Clarifying point here--DOES contribution matter to box generation?

    My understanding was that it did not. That your dps (+modifier for T/H) is the sole determiner of box rate.

    If I am running with better people and am way down the list or if I top the chart, I seem to get the same number of boxes per minute. It's just if I run with a high damage crew the missions are shorter. Healer debuffs and Lancer assists are the only thing that seems to help my number of boxes, not where I place on the contribution.

    If I've been wrong about this, I'd love to hear about it.

    @Catservant
    This is pretty much true. Your contribution is only your dps in relation to other people's dps but the % doesn't matter or affect you. If you're doing 2 m/s and have 40% contribution your rate at getting the boxes is the same as if you were doing 2 m/s and had 5% contribution

    Indeed.

    Tested this doing the missions and Soloed and with friends in parties also. You will rate at getting boxes will be the same but if the other people don't know how to dps enought then you will get more boxes from the same mission because in the end you will get burning HP from boss that the system buff it to compensate for the amount of players.

    Right now if you are doing solo these missions is better to do it with tanks or healers because if there is no tank in the area and you are the dps with the most agro then you will get less boxes you could get even if you use a front crit build.

    So BHS threw in a not-quite DPS meter that does just short of jack and all in regard to actually measuring one's performance?

    Ya don't say...

    What kind of setup is most optimal then for mystic/priest? Carving/Pumped mix, Pumped all, Carving all? Keen/Powerful Vyrsks? A crit cap to try and reach? Even rerolling weapon for dps stats and busting my [filtered] off doing as much dps as possible isn't netting me more than like 6-8 boxes. :c the buddy i do it with gets like 10-12 each run on his zerk and brawler so i cant keep up qq

    @HLK76PFWXT it was sarcasm.

    At least from my experience so far and i did test out a lot of things.. I have to say that best is around +320 crit factor ( bulgogi included ) plus pumped etchings on weapons and pounding crystal. Also, be sure to use metamorphic blast before vortex then metamorphic blast before shocking implosion.. Something like blast > vortex > blast > implosion > holy burst > blast > reprisal > repeat

    So far, i am getting 40 boxes per 30-35minutes with +7SC priest/ brawler ( brawler is using slaying tough ).

    p.s. also use cheap I keen etchings on jewelry

    Its so funny how the dps complain about a healing class doing more contribution than them.
