There's no issue with talents. Gold is extremely easy to get and URF days makes it even easier.

if you're too lazy to farm your own talents, just swipe that card and buy +9 sc, ez...

That is the problem right now, they're overpriced because nobody in the right mind would want to kill 1000s of low tier bams. Even if people do the prices wont go down because of how much gems there are compared to talents. All I see here is "There's no issue", "Go farm them". Why don't you come up with an actual argument? Prices are getting ridicilous, even to the point where events like URF have no impact. It being easy to get, doesn't mean it's a good way to get. The problem isn't that it's hard to get, the problem is that there is not enough supply of them compared to gems.

??? How do you not understand the correlation between talent prices and gold inflation ???

Talents = Always in demand - Required for guardian -> stormcry

Gold = Becoming easier to farm due to URF / Guardians / Awakening making PVE easier ***quicker*** to farm

Idk what is the problem. Just by running dungeons 2-3 stars I get such horrific amounts of golden talents that I have not enough time to spend on crafting them.
You need to play game.(not spank iod)
    Golden talents are fine imo.

    Talents are not the probldm.

You get 1440 pp per day. That is enough to craft 24 golden plates per day. To craft 24 plates you need 96 talents per day.

Any farm of over 96 talents per day will create a surplus of talents.

If you add elite craft cure will be 40 plates or 160 talents.

This is for anyone in stormcry, that is real sink for the talents.

Now the talents went up to 55g each let that sink in, even with double item event it's a really high price
  • EnMasse ruining the game in some way in comparison to Gameforge again? Can't exactly say I'm surprised.

The only problem with golden talents is that people are too lazy to get them. If you think they're incredibly over-priced on the broker then farm them and sell them yourself. They are extremely easy to get, I've never purchased a single one from the broker. If you're really that lazy maybe you shouldn't try to play a MMO.
  • Weeping, weeping, weeping... suppose a hypothetical player has only one char, suppose he are playing just this month like 1 hour a day, suppose now he can make 16 IoD low tier BAM'S within 1 hour nothing impossible here till now, lets go to maths 16 * 2 enchant box * 7 golden talents * 30 days of may = 6720 golden talents, enough talent to craft 3360 darics or 1680 plates and i'm not counting criticals here. Added to this we had GG and PP and spolight double drops events plus regular dungeons wich drops talents, just play the game and you'll have enough mats to get what you want.

I don't think y'all get the point here. In particular the point that was made earlier in the thread. The problem isn't the lack of golden talents.. it's more of where to get them. I've been grinding consistently ever since the gear revamp patch came out. Which is what, since november or so? That's half a year of doing low tier iod or low tier dungeons - the best way of getting golden talents.
Don't you think it's stupid for someone that has a lot of well geared characters, to be forced to do easy content to gear up further? I think it's silly. I'm not saying it's hard to obtain golden talents, quite the opposite. It's boring and mind-numbing. Personally I just wish they dropped in harder content, 439's, 446 dungeons etc.
I can finish 16 vanguards in 20 minutes during uhft... But after 6 months of that I'd rather bang my head against the wall repeatedly for an hour than do low tier iod for 20 minutes. It's getting real stale at this point.

I think the intent behind the current setup was that high gear players buy talents from low gear players, to help fund their own climb up the ranks. That's why gold and silver talents drop most in the lowest tier content.

Like it or hate it, I believe this is the rationale. I can't recall my source on this, but it makes sense. If we were to advocate a change to this arrangement, whereby more gold and silver talents dropped from higher tier content, does anyone have ideas on what could replace the moneymaker for low gear players?

I guess so, but in the end nothing stops well geared players from grinding low tier content so that purpose kind of falls flat imo. Best thing would be to just redistribute the golden talents to higher tiered content. During feedstock days, feed dropped in higher tier dungeons as well. And while it wasn't as profitable as low tier farm back then, it was still something. Throwing gems at us only worsens the inflation :disappointed:

you can buy with the same gold you get guardian x 16 pj every day

Just give us a good event for golden talents and silver talents, best short term solution.

The most broken material farm event in teras existence? A kyras mongo event for materials? ripperoni in pepperoni economy
  • im pretty fond of lower tier stuff bring something tradeable and in demand to the table for newcommers so they can build up and catch up faster. but what does endgame bring in exchange, that could help those newbies and keep the balance?

I have been saying this since many months ago, IoD is not the best content to make gold and doing it to farm talents is not worth until talents reach about 40g each. Right now their value is not near that level.

IoD used to be pretty bad but right now it can give roughly 700g every three minutes when doing teraliths and that can end up as almost 14k per hour > which i think that it is not bad considering that the content is easy and it also gives gear XP/metamorphic tokens/etchings for whoever wants to improve some alts.. though IOD it is extremely plain/repeable and after a while you might start talking with yourself xD ... Also, it is not as good as RG where a clear with a geared party can take 5minutes and can give roughly 1.6k per run if i am not wrong xD

Anyway, in terms of gold per hour x difficulty.. I guess that these days the order is something like: RG > IOD > Guardians > Pit ( of course, fishing for additives during events is something out of the ordinary xD ).

The idea is that fortunately there are multiple ways of farming decent gold for various needs and there can be some diversity.. but for those that are not used or do not have the time to farm 1/2hrs per day then it might be pretty hard to make any real progress in this game since everything started to be so expensive ( even the costumes or vouchers in game are much more expensive now ).

At this rate, the game might end up being appealing only for farmers and spenders with the casuals and semi casuals having a hard time ( i mean, i am used to jump on brawler and do x8 RG with some guildies or jump on priest and do a guardian legion run for boxes and such.. but that is just me ).
