[filtered] logic of some people in this thread really amuses me. more gold in game will raise prices? learn basics of economy kids, it's all about supply and demand. more vg credits- more mwa- lower prices, simple as that. when titan's ember and ease were hard to obtain price was sky high and scarabs were like few gold, now titan's drop like candies and scarabs cost a fortune.
  • The Tokens are the most important part, since we have enough VG opportunities a day the credits aren't that bad, they're near as good as TAR days, just worse quests. The alkahest is only a real problem for newbies (Awakening is supposed to take time, this is intended and doesn't need buffs to feedstock gain, if anything but rates) The gold is more negative than positive since it makes prices go up, the more money you have the more people can charge you.

However as soon as people start getting that Brooch with their large pockets by buying from others, they will have a massive advantage in PvP than those without the brooch, (Same for Conflate gear) therefor the gain of Goddess Tears and Colluva Ingot needs to be increased, whether EME keeps the decent token amount of whether they have another plan this needs to be dealt with for the sake of PvP. One thing a lot of people seem to not get is that when you're over 420 ilvl with the best PvP gear and it's this hard to get, nobody can beat you without having significantly more skill than you, get a "good" player in this type of gear and they become unbeatable even to the best, this makes newbies not want to PvP because it'd take a month of effort to match your strength and it's time based so they can't shorten it without spending outrageous amounts of gold.

Game Devolopers probably think stuff like quest limits per day and production points help new players but these are the things that make it hardest for new players, Games used to be hard grinds, if you put in the time and grind you can get what you want with a little luck, then they started changing things to "benefit" casual players more and it's hurt every game that's done it.
  • Does any one know if this Event will be permanent(Tree Shark just turned it back on)?
  • Didn't Treeshark say it was was ending on July 7?

Also what's going on with double loyalty points? I thought they'd be adding the missing reward points as time passed by during the event.
  • It's not up on Vot. Confirmed by me and two guildies.9fb93fad890ab850b40d53e8f70740d7.png

Take your own advice and go learn some basic economy. Or just go google "inflation".
Just before this double gold event mwa was stable around 35-40g, now we have double vanguard credit and instead of going down it raised to 60+. It's already 4 weeks since new patch so don't go bs about it's because of the high demain right after new patch.

Please, the MWA is linked directly with feedstock, the supply of feedstock that was low was increased, forcing the price of MWA up almost instantly that has very little or nothing to do with double gold

A little inflation never hurt nobody srsly. From a player psychology point of view a player is more satisfied when they have gold than when they dont so even if relatively having 100k now is the same purchasing power as 50k last year the players of today are much happier than the players of the past.

Psychology has nothing to do with economy. If you want a game to last long you always have to take consideration toward returning players instead of only focusing on new players (because let's face it, nobody can stick to 1 and only 1 game for years without jumping back and forth between a few others). Imagine what they would feel after coming back from a month break or a short trip, just to see everything has raise 50% in price ?

That's exactly how a lot of my old guildmates feel after coming back. Their saving simply lost all value, thus forcing them to grind everything from the start like a total newbie except for the fact they don't have the excitement from playing the game for the first time to keep it up.

Are you seriously comparing the market demand of mwa now 4 weeks into the patch with when it was just release and everyone plus their grandma were trying to get their new gears for current toons and new ninja ?
  • SylvietteSylviette ✭✭✭
Yea right, because everyone all know exactly that they will come back to a game x months y years later because 100% they will get bored of the new exciting game which just got released. Or one day they suddenly feel like quitting and decide to spend another week check the market and buy the costume which won't get devalued because of future event. How about using some common sense ?

buffing gold drops in ghillieglade brought more gold in game but mwa had same price. why? cause it was a period when TAR was a place for fast farming of MWA so they were easy to get. if something messed the economy and started an inflation it was black friday sale, not higher VG gold prizes. as i said some people here have r-e-t-a-r-d-e-d logic, guess you're one of them...

Back then emp was 1:15, now it's 1:40, is the effect clear enough for you ?
I was quoting the mwa price atm because DESPITE the double vanguard credit it's still at x1.5 compare to before instead of falling, which is the easiest way to compare the effect right before and during this event. Who the hell compare the effect of a recent event by using sample price from patches ago ? With your logic I can say 2 years ago mwa was 130g so the current double gold event did tremendously help reducing inflation right ?
To think this of all people talking about "logic".
