Can we please have Swiftly Dyads be obtainable again?

"Swiftly" is a unique line on a Dyad that offers 2 in-combat movement speed. This line is not in our current Dyad table, meaning that no matter how many structures we use, we cannot obtain it.

However, during EME's Demokron Invasion event, GM's had spawned old event BAMs with the name Dracoloth Sovereign at the end. Participating in killing this BAM granted you an event box that was delivered via Parcel, and in said box had a possible chance to give Dyads as a reward. This event box made it possible to receive (albeit, i'm not so sure if Red Dyads could get this) Blue Dyads with the Swiftly line. A couple of people were lucky and received one, such as this person. (hope this isn't a callout or anything, sorry!)

My reasoning in asking if EME could consider somehow modifying our Dyad table to include this roll again(? I am not sure if Swiftly was ever in it to tell you the truth) ties into the fact that it's been confirmed NA will not be receiving KTERA's talent system.

KTERA's talent system* offers additional skill bonuses to all classes at endgame, though I am focusing more on the mobility aspect after i-framing that we will not see in our client.
Things such as
- Lancer's Backstep having increased in-combat movespeed when used
- Archer's Backstep having increased in-combat movespeed when used
- Berserker's Evasive Smash having increased in-combat movespeed upon successful hit
- Mystic's Teleport Jaunt having increased in-combat movespeed when used
- Priest's Backstep having increased in-combat movespeed when used
- Warrior's Evasive Roll having increased in-combat movespeed when used
- Slayer's Evasive Roll having increased in-combat movespeed when used
- Gunner's Command: Recall having increased in-combat movespeed when used
- Brawler's Quick Dash having increased in-combat movespeed when used

were included with the talent system, things you could consider Quality of Life, things you could consider necessary buffs, so on...
(I did exclude certain KTERA talent's on class specific spells, but they're still plausible in this situation I suppose)

If, and only if, it's possible that EME is capable of adding Swiftly into the Dyad table, this would be a buff for almost all classes (IF players decide to give up a unique line on their Dyads for this). It would also help with newer dungeons that BHS releases with the talent system in mind. I don't believe it would involve BHS with class balancing as it's a simple line on a Dyad, therefore EME could potentially just modify it into said table with no issue.

Restrictions and consideration would have to apply if this were to go live, though, and this is where I'd like to discuss and have other players come together and share their thoughts. PvE and PvP + class standpoints are much appreciated!

Should Swiftly be a line on Blue Relentless/Grieving/Resolute/Warding Dyads? (Would this hurt PvP even more? We all know the answer to that...)
(If this applies) Should Swiftly be a line on Red Dyads? Are Red Swift Dyads applicable?
Should there be a cap on how many Dyads you can equip with the Swiftly line?
Is it possible to even add restrictions on Dyads and its lines?

Personally, I would love if we could obtain these Dyads again and would not mind if there was a cap placed on how many you could equip with the same line. With current dungeons, and ones that may come out in the future, these are nothing but help. Extra in-combat movespeed would help in SSH/NM pizza cutters, maybe lights in WHNM, and most of the AoE in DFH/NM. These would also help older classes who are struggling with a single i-frame or heavy in-combat movespeed...(cough)

  • They never were obtainable before. Maybe just consider this as a special stream prize. I'm not sure if you're just trying to bring up talents again though

I brought up talents to specify that we were missing out on additional in-combat movement speed, as well as to point out what a help they would be in current dungeons this patch. Our ~4 new recent classes all have multiple i-frames, but older ones are sitting on only one, some with long cooldown times. I'm aware that BHS is looking into tweaking older classes this summer, but we will forever be 6 months behind in content, and it'll be a real drag to wait 'til then. Consider this as a sort of band-aid request.
  • Do you have any idea how miniscule 8 movement speed (assuming you have an entire set of only swiftly dyads) is... it's so, so tiny.
No there wouldn't be swiftly reds obviously because that's not how it works.
Combat movement speed doesn't dictate your fate on boss mechanics. You have to know how to use your skills as movement. (Shield Barrage, roundhouse kick, pendulum strike). You shouldn't be walking to dodge mechanics in which 8 movement speed may save your life.

8 movement speed is half of a Fine Swift Niveot, I wouldn't consider it minuscule but I also wouldn't consider a full set BiS either when Glistening/Brilliant lines exist on Blue Dyads. Combat movement speed can sometimes dictate your fate though, as it's all a possibility. As I have brought up twice so far, dungeons like SS(H/N)M and WHNM have mechanics that are reliant on you getting from point A to B as soon as possible, and you will almost always be in combat stance. Accidentally use that gap closer that was also a DPS skill a few seconds prior? You can still be screwed over. Infact, this could have applied prepatch with FIHM and it's DDR lines. You aren't really expected to i-frame every single line or pizza cutter on any boss as it's not realistic for most classes.

Hello yes hi, my name is Mystic, nice to meet you.
  • Doing this will have both benefits and drawbacks, and this roll seem to benefit only healers.

DPS classes trying to get their glisteningly dyads and/or brilliantly dyads will suffer from an addition roll of RNG, since mana is much more important than a small amount of movement speed. It's already difficult to acquire a glisteningly hardy as it is.

I can really only see healers benefitting this roll (and the bonus really is minimal), while many other classes would be opting for brilliantly or glisteningly.

Umm yeah healers are hated as it is, no gear, no accessory improvement. Why give them a useful dyad?
  • Any more thoughts on this? I'd really like a bit of consideration from EME o:)

more in-combat movement speed as a priest would be so dreamy

(pls make triple nem not put us in combat pls bhs)
  • SawaoSawao ✭✭
Is there any way to confirm this is obtainable in kTera in the current build?

I'd really like this on my priest. Brilliantly/glistening blues aren't really that useful for healers aside from maybe one. 6-8 movement speed may not sound like a lot, but priests glyph the 15 movespeed Fleetfoot glyph for a reason. Because it makes a huge difference in survivability since you're not turtle-slow anymore. I'd love to be able to add a bit more movement speed.
  • The Swiftly prefix effect benefits priests the most while not for mystics as much but it doesn't hurt to have it. It's great for a priest since they can run from one point to another quicker unlike mystics where they can cover more distance with their teleport.

It's not bad in pvp since you can chase people faster but...PvP is dead so there is no need to cover that.
