To be honest, the amount you hear from Player Council relates pretty directly to how much EME engages with it. For a while, there really wasn't all that much engagement (partly related to all the staff change-overs), so there wasn't much to say. Recently, as some mentioned, there has been more engagement on upcoming projects, but as everyone is under NDA now they can't talk about the details until it's released. But at least some engagement is happening on some things. (Not all things, obviously, as was discussed in the other thread. There's a lot we can't change, but there are a few things we can help with.)
For me, one of the main things I try to do is gather feedback from the forum and elevate it to EME whenever I can, so that's probably why you see me more. That's sort of my unofficial role, but it's not everyone's role.
And, well, EME chose the Player Council to give them feedback, but it's not our job either. It's still EME's job and responsibility to communicate with all players. Player Council is basically a sounding board for them, to the extent they want to use it (or not).
I agree with Counterpoint that Eme has been more engaged with the council lately. We do discuss feedback posted in the forums and things we observe on our own while leveling, doing pve/pvp, and trying to gear.
Like Counterpoint said it's not our job to announce changes or reasons why things are the way they are. That's up to eme and their community team.
I am unaware of what happened in the past months actually to be honest? I do remember that there was some drama regarding other parties involved with EME and NDA's...but it was not player council. However, you aren't wrong, we could always do better to represent the general population better.
I will say that a lot of the same general population doesn't realize how little we influence any of these events. The communication between EME and PC has gotten better, but we don't really decide anything major that affects the game. However, we are the ones that bring the concerns we read on forums/discord AFTER the event or patch hits right to the GM's at least. This makes the possible fixes or future changes done a lot sooner (i.e bonus loots in HH being removed, or the Velik's Helper buff to name a few). And as to a small rebuttle, I dont tend to be on forums much, but I am quite active on the discord for both the support and general side of things
