Top Self-Sustaining Class?

Simple question. Like in wow, a Demon Hunter, Death Knight, and Paladin are the top self sustaining classes. In Tera, which classes are the top self sustainers/soloers.

My picks:

1. Mystic
2. Brawler
3. Lancer

Any class if you buy potions
  • Brawler and Lancer are basically the only classes that can really "self-sustain". Every other class is either going to take damage at some point, can't heal themselves, or will take way too long to kill something.

Although there's pretty much no point in being a "self-sustaining" class since there's no content that requires it. The only solo content in the game is Island of Dawn, Ghillieglade and Pit of Petrax, all of which are absurdly easy to complete in half-decent gear and pose no threat to any class.

The only reason you would aim for a self-sustaining class is to solo level 65 dungeons for bragging rights, but there's no community for that in Tera because it's boring, there's no rewards, and it's not really much of an achievement unless you do it in the harder dungeons, most of which are literally impossible solo.

Healers > Tanks > Gunner with heal bot > Anyone else
  • Berserker can be self sustaining if you use fully charged vamp blow frequently

self-sustaining? healers can heal themselves... but healer dps is nothing in comparison to every other class. Should refine your question.

Tanks, yeah. They can mitigate or prevent damage, dish out damage themselves, and they don't have to worry about kiting.
A healer left alone will get hit eventually, doesn't have very many iframes to prevent damage to themselves, and won't feasibly end the fight.
Let's say you're at a boss with 8% left and everyone dies in an unressable way except one person. If that person's the tank, you still stand a chance. If that person's the healer, then unless they're a mystic with blob summon up, you're probably just gonna bitterly reset the fight.
