I stop to play some years ago cause the pw2 aspect of buying alkahest in cash shop.
i would like to know if it continue in the same way.
i would like how is the pvt state now.
better to play Na or EU?

    If you stopped playing TERA because those p2w aspects then I supose you don't play MMO's at all.

    Yep, it's p2w, just a lesser extent than other mmos, period.
    EU Tera is even worse.

    It never cease to impress me the amount of ppl that claim this game is p2w, is almost hilarious the arguments they will bring to back it up.

    First of all, alkahezt were NEVER sold directly in the TERA NA shop. They added later on a box of alkahest, which no one ever bought for how easy to get they were in game.

    EU TERA was the region who almost went dry due to their decision to remove all possible ways to get alkahezt in game, and only made an available through their shop. We veterans remember this time as the great EU migration when lots of EU players seeked refugee in NA TERA.

    @Dvsv if we use your logic, then all mmos without exception, are p2w. Call me back when you experienced true p2w.

    As someone who has played a fair few F2P MMO's over the years I can honestly say that this is probably the least P2W of the bunch. Sure you can sell stuff from the cash shop on the broker for extra gold but on the flip side you can be elite status having never spent a single penny. Gold is pretty easy to come by in this game, most of what is on the cash shop is cosmetics with the exception of a few loot boxes with cosmetic jackpots and metamorphic emblems as the standard prize. It's quite a grind to get maximum gear, as it should be but compared to say Blade and Soul where literally the only way to progress is to pay and pay big. Tera is very fair in their cash model.

    I did realize im on enmasse forums my apologise, i come from EU and i left when they removed all the ways to get alkahest except daylies (vanguards) and boxes and all my guild and a lot of my friends moved to NA i did have bad internet before (gunner patch), so i couldnt migrate to NA due to lag issues..... in these times everytime some1 get a nice enchant+ +13+14etc all the chat is spammed by ``p2w´´ it was a really bad time to play this game..... (in these times i feel the game was totally p2w), i remember i needed to do dailyes with my 3 alts + my main to get alkahest and it was never enough...

    i did have a really bad experience and its nice if you say me NA will be never like this cause now i have nice internet on my new house and maybe i have better lag to play there.

    Do you know how is EU now is still p2w¿?
    Pvp in NA is stil alive?

    What been playing this game since 2014 and why do people keep calling this P2W I got my gear without even paying for anything. I dont know what people definition of P2W but they think tera is one then Im afraid what P2W really is to them.

    I think for both of you is to hard to really read the post.....
    There was a time in Tera Eu (gameforge) it was at gunner patch when they make your only way to get alkahest is by vanguard quests (that was limited alkahest posible per day, the only way was leveling alts to do dailyes with all of them) and cash shop rng boxes and at this time a lot of ppl quit Tera in EU to go to NA cause this p2w element forcing you to go to cash shop if you want to be competent in pvp wars against strong guilds that are full+14 this is just a true story about this game you didnt know maybe cause you always played in NA (enmasse). So yes my definicion of p2w is real and gunner patch wasnt 2014.

    So please avoid stupid comments thanks you.

    You can get everything in game, and you don't have to farm like a no life, just gotta be smart and know the game. Almost 2 char full +9 and i dont buy emp

    No, it is not P2W, the things you get from cash shop can't entirely help you gear yourself.
    Play the game and you get mats.
