  • you think saying bye will scare EME into changing their minds lol time to pop some corn and take in this movie i'm seeing. its a block buster.
ikr. its sad to say, but the forums are more fun and entertaining than the game itself lol

lol, what I find funny is that EME is putting something in the game to stop hackers and the hackers already have a way around it XD

I love the whole "only people complaining are proxy users" claim that keeps getting floated. If anything, they're gonna be the first ones bypassing this garbage.

The main difference here between Steam and this other company is that Valve is US based. Plus, they are far more professional than some company who's site looks like it was just created.

What matters the most is what country the information goes to. Since the information goes to Wellbia (in Korea) it is governed by Korean law. They can pretty much do with it all they want. It wouldn't be so bad if Wellbia didn't have direct access to the information. Last thing I want is my computer having some direct link to Korea, which it seems this code will provide. It's not like they are just putting that code on their servers, they are installing it directly into our systems.

Probably a good thing anyways, as I was starting to get too into the game with alts and all. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.

Kinda doubt they expect eme to do anything since their main reason for leaving is they don't feel heard as a community, but by all means go ahead and laugh as this dead game gets even deader.

No, I don't think EME cares, but I still have a right to say I'm leaving. Won't miss you and a few that will be whining and crying in a couple days, because this don't work or that don't work.

And you play the game why? Just to be rude and give attitude I guess. Y'all are the ones whining and crying when you can't fill dungeons and begging to merge servers, because no one is on. Yet you laugh when people say they are leaving. Whatever!

mEME once again showing us the playerbase that they can actually fall even deeper into bad decisions. This anti cheat engine fiasco is going to hurt your current playerbase and new players that want to try Tera. And I feel like if they actually stick with this decision it will destroy the game to an irreversible point. So well done mEME you have probably killed the game. I will not support this. You have just lost a player that spent money monthly on this game through in game purchases and elite status. I will probably not be the only one.

I don't need others to run dungeons with. I play solo. if eme/bhs made it to where this was a stand alone game tomorrow without any interaction with other players, I would have even more fun with tera. I never asked for server merges either. I am always speaking against them. I play the game my way and have fun. that's why I play. I am never rude to others. I will give my opinion on things, just like you did just now. I laugh at times when people say they are going to quit cause its funny. they remind me of my little brother when he doesn't get his way. when you distract him with something else, he is fine, just like the majority of the players here. so yes, I have been laughing at the players, eme staff, and bhs for years now, and I will continue to do so when they make stupid decisions.

You know what would be hilarious, if Wellbia actually paid EME to attach their software onto the game so Wellbia could sell our data xD
That's what some of this thread makes it seem like lol

(edit: please note this is almost definitely not the case although some people may want you to believe that it is)

You know BHS/EME, I like the idea to keep hackers out, but really by curiously I looked it up. Next thing that pops on google search is xigncode bypass instantly! So really why is it worth it? People are going to hack and still get away with it!

As I stated, INSTANTLY searching xigncode on google it pops up "xigncode bypass" when actually typing xigncode, so for the record, people can still get away with it! For clarification.

I want these hackers gone! However, there's literally no way to stop them! I bet 100% that people are going to use the bypass!

The solution is screen capture. Implement a screen capture into the game. So that it would be easy reporting.

Also it would be a cool feature for the game itself :3

And people say Xigncode lags lol
    Have you ever streamed before?
Encoding video takes a ton of resources even more than the game itself depending on quality.
(edit: r/woooosh for me maybe lol)

It's not worth the massive fines and legal cases against all parties, not to mention all the incredibly bad press for all the developers/publishers that use the XIGNCODE already (including BHS on PUBG, and tons of other developers/publishers). It'd completely ruin everything for all those involved, and whatever pennies they think they could make on data isn't worth that risk at all.

Yeah just funny how some people are spinning it. I'll edit the post to reflect that it's almost definitely not the case. Gotta have some ounce of sense in this thread lol. Wanted to point out the trend not start any more drama although this has been very entertaining today. Trying to clarify some concerns of the community a bit.

Personally I think it's not at all necessary to add any of this to the game. Unfortunately I don't think anything anyone says at this point matters. I can't really ever recall something this big that we were ever actually able to change about the game by voicing our opinions on the forums especially without heros like treeshark and tonka. I do feel kind of left out as a PC player though seeing a lot of attention going towards Consoles right now. Maybe they somehow thought this would solve all of their problems.

I'm going to look at it in this light though and I think others should too. Perhaps they just added this half baked anti-cheat program that is easily bypassable as a way to allow players to still enjoy their game in a way that they always have. Then to also please their investors to let them know that they are actively working on ways to "stop" these programs. I'd like to think that there is a portion of EME that understands but just can't publicly say so. In other regions like k-tera for example in the first DSU clear their were 6 uploaders of the dps breakdown meaning that a gm was in secretly in their run using a meter :)

I'm going to be optimistic about all of this because I really do enjoy this game and not just to play it, but to make content/develop legitimately around it.

The only games I can find using this are based in Korea. Anyone know of any games using this based in the US? Wondering if it might even be illegal for a game to send data from US systems over to Korea like that. There must be a reason US publishers aren't flocking to Wellbia.

They're not flocking to it because it doesn't work. Wellbia is just flat out lying to people. No game has shown any success with xigncode reducing the number of cheaters. In tera's case it will probably increase the number of cheaters, since the performance hit on a game which is already really heavy on disk accesses is going to be immense, and cheating is the only solution en masse offers anyone to fix that.

You cannot stop those botters and hackers they will just go around what you put and we have to suffer for it

I strongly suspect it's because of the way the dev teams have to interact with the anti-cheat programming teams to perform integrations like this, so Korean developers tend to choose a Korean company to work with, and English-speaking developers tend to choose English companies. But fundamentally, this particular set of tools isn't really all that different from the similar tools Western developers use; none are foolproof. It mostly depends not on the tool, but on how determined the developers are to keep constantly pursuing the cause. With enough determination and skill, they can at least keep the cat and mouse game "interesting." (Now, likelihood that BHS has that much determination and skill related to pursuing this for TERA...)
