As has been said in other threads, given the precedent in this game and the support impact, I think it only makes sense to do something like this if there's some other compelling reason to justify it (like Steam launch and server merges in the past).

i've been playing somewhat actively for the past 5 years but 95% of all my characters are level 1. Why should they get deleted???
because the entitled want their way. I may sound rude and all in this thread, but its because we have at least 1 post per month about a name wipe, and I get tired of watching adults cry like little children because they want a name that someone else has and they feel like since the person that has it doesn't deserve it just because they are holding it for when they do want to use it and that if they cant have it then the one that does have it shouldn't. no one will think you are clever because you have a name or that youre so cool and awesome. people crying and throwing tantrums every month is not going to get eme to do a name wipe. want proof?? when was the last name wipe thread that you have seen where eme staff has come on commenting about it? in the really real world, you don't always get what you want. should someone move out of their home and let you have it just because you want it, even if they haven't lived in it for a year or more? same principle. if you want to be clever, show some creativity and come up with your own name. if you people go back and read the other 1000 threads about name wipes, then you will see why it isn't a good idea and wont work to your liking. also in one that was made last year, you will see what an eme staff member said about name wipes.
i say no no no and im not a name hoarder, nor am i trying to sell my names i do have. ad yes i have the same names on every server, and no they aren't any anime names, or 3 or 4 letter names, i actually used my imagination and came up with these names. i plan on keeping my names i do have. if they took away all my names and told me i had to come up with new names for all of my characters, i could come up with new names, ones that aren't taken within 3 attempts, even if they did that to me monthly. people have gotten where they don't have any creativity anymore and have to rely on cartoons, movies, tv and so on for their names or ideas. if people actually tried to come up with something original, they would be able to come up with a name within 3-5 tries. common sense should tell people that in a 6 year old game, that common 3-4 letter words, and any anime name will have already been taken by now.
the whole argument that all those that are saying no is a lame excuse to try and convince others and eme that we are doing things that are against the tos, and to try and force them to do a name wipe. last time that happened, people just logged back in, and most got to keep their names. then people were crying in forums within 2 months wanting another name wipe again cause they didn't get the name they wanted and used the name hoarder/seller excuse. people also cried about having to work and couldn't log in quick enough to get a cool weeb name.
if you people don't want to come up with a new creative name for yourselves, then try to get those that do have it to trade you or whatever for it. if that doesn't work, then accept it and move on. but trying to bully or force eme to do a name wipe by posting countless threads about it and threatening to leave the game if you don't get your way is pathetic and childish.
