Smart Dyads kept on gear upgrade?

Basically wanted to know if you use smart dyads on for example frost gear and then upgrade that to SC you can use the same dyads on the SC gear. Or you have to create more?

Probably should have asked first beforeusing them.. but since they are so rare I never thought the other way around.

    Dyads are bound to the name of the gear you used them on (for example: <Frostmetal Greatsword>)... so after you ugrade your frostmetal to stormcry, since the name changed (example: <Stormcry Greatsword>).. you will have to make new dyads for that new Stormcry piece...

    .. and you will also lose etchings after every upgrade as well

    this is why everyone says to use dyads on bis gear

    The only thing I see ppl saying is elin cringe or absolute silence lol.


    Is there anyway to roll dyad stats? I used some blue ones to fuse and didn't get what I wanted. Those ones can't be rolled on new ones, or it's just trash now?

    you can fuse 3 dyads using the standard crystal fusion into another random dyad
