It's 2018 Tera has 6 YO on EnMasse and the lag spikes only increase. The amount of LATAM players is pretty Significant and we play at 220ms in empty hours... That's complitely dumb. We do not stand a chance against people with low ping on PvP and the PvE, i play as lancer and i have bad moments trying to defend some mechanincs, sometimes i need to predict what the boss gonna do next. There's must be a way to fix this lag. EME must look for everyone. This game could be MUCH BIGGER... Optimizing graphics and lower the LATAM ping. You guys can do it, but actualy you just don't want, cuz ur already earning Money from this so just don't give a really [filtered] about LATAMs

    There's someone in my guild who plays Valk Pvp at 260ms avg. And get's several kills per FWC/CS game. Sometimes double digits.

    im in latam (chile) and i have 140ms (200 prime time) without proxy obviously.

    There are people from the UK, Sweden, and Germany in my guild. They have anywhere from 200-300 ms ping.

    They all have +7-9 stormcry and and clear RKHM and RRHM regularly, and Harrowhold every week.

    Maybe you're just bad.

    eu people can't have ping that high
    At my highest ping was at 160 when I had terrible internet. Right now it's 120 and I'm east-south eu. I know players from the uk that had sub 100 ping because of fiber, usually UK has like 110-130 ping.
    Also, those guildies are probably using proxy if their dps is in the competitive range.

    Telling others to get good because they have bad ping is incredibly rude and ignorant. Playing with bad ping in tera is sluggish and feels cancerous and you can in no way perform as well as low ping players can. Hell, at 50+ ping some ping dependent classes start to break. At 150+ main chains will have troubles canceling and linking. Telling high ping people "just git gud xd" is just... yikes.

    Everyone i remember from these places have like 140-150 ping.

    You don't know much about how the internet works if you think they can do anything that will make significant changes to your ping

    Well, EME caters to NA players. Their servers are located in NA, so obviously when you play OUTSIDE of NA you'll be getting higher ping.
    I mean, yeah it sucks, but unless they open up server in LATAM you won't experience lower ping.

    As for the ping spikes, they do have to fix those.

    Expecting EME to "fix the lag" when you're halfway across the world is like expecting a Pizza Hut in Chicago to maintain every single road from Chile to Illinois.

    Best-case, they can alert backbone providers of routing issues, but there's just so many potential issues along the way that are completely out of their control.

    Really, outside of some new no latency technology that hasn't been invented yet, you simply can't completely overcome distance.

    My advice to you is Get a better ISP CAUSE i live way further than you from the servers and my ping fluctuates between 80 100ms stop blame EME .

    The problem is also that most Latam. players don't really spend money directly on the game, they buy EMP from others, mainly from US players, or simply buy stuff from the broker; there are tons of latinamerican players, that's for sure, but I can almost bet the income from those players isn't big enough to justify a server hosted in latinamerican territory, the fact that no company has tried to host Tera for Central and Southamerica might be a indicator of it not being viable right now, I can remember a few MMOs hosted in Latam. that ended closing their servers at some point.

    However, many things can affect your ping, someone playing from Mexico can get under 100 ping in some areas, but having a ping over 200 means you're having problems with your ISP or you're way too far from the servers.

    shut up you dont have any idea of what you're talking about. its impossible to 'git gud' when the game is [filtered] frozen and everything is delayed. your friend probably uses proxy or some [filtered]. its not possible to play tera atm at 260ms with jitter and latency going crazy. so honestly, shove your low ping privilege up your [filtered] and shut the [filtered] up
