The only moment you definitely need double iframe I can think of is when Antaroth summons clones and does blue orb + slash attack. If you are unlucky to be targeted twice, or you are the only remaining player alive, you have to iframe twice in quick succession or else you'll die. Other than that, all iframess should be manageable if you use it right. I think that's probably why kTera is giving priests the backstep reset in order to cope with situations like this.
  • In AAN priests have to get hit by the full spin during the charged up sword mechanic.
If they iframe it, they run in danger of being laser'd right after before backstep if off cd.
In AAH the mechanic is longer and this no longer applies. Solid gameplay right there

Because if I recall correctly, just standing there casting GS in the first place probably takes half the time of just waiting for backstep to come off cd naturally

    This, exactly this.

I don't mind the 20 some odd seconds cooldown on GS, because mass jaunt for a mystic is also like 30 seconds or something. But the fact that it requires you to cast another skill to reset backstep, that is just a joke.

That said, my priest doesn't need another iframe, backstep is honestly enough. I've made mistakes at Antaroth where the res bait laser targets you back to back to back to back, but all it really takes is to just get into the habit of waiting a little bit before you attempt to res again, which is great because now it gives you an excuse to top off your TN and or ES buff before ressing.
  • Healers shouldn't need to wait to res someone in AAH. The fact that it targets them back to back, while Priest only have 1 iframe is literally punishing the healer for other people's mistake. Not only that, it limits Priest ability to carry below 50% because of timer. They have to wait to make sure the boss won't target them with laser, spawn puddle, or red magic, which delay their res time; hence, losing to timer. Healers should not be punished for other people's mistake. Period.
