Why is server maintenance so hard for EME?
Title says it all. Every time there's a server maintenance they said it will be between 8-11am then extended it to 12 then 1 pm now its 2pm...maybe. Is it so hard for them to do it properly as another forum user posted. Gameforge did their maintenance in 3 hours... It like they don't want players to play on Thursdays. They do this every week. Its why I stopped buying elite. So incompetent.
Its not like their the developer, all they have to do is translate and implement the patch.

Having Elite status has no bearing on being able to play to game.
I just don't understand honestly but whatever, I was busy with stuff today anyway and it's not like I expected anything better lol.

At least with black desert/Kakao they do maintenance while most of NA is asleep. Don't really care if they go into extended maintenance, which rarely happened.
In addition to this, when they go over, they tend to give compensation to all of their players through the mail system. And I mean all of their players. I returned to the game after not playing for a year and had a bunch of compensation letters for downtime that I wasn't even around to experience, lol.

well at least once by month kakao has an 8 h maintenance and 2 emergency maintenance
ye one hour of buff for experience and 10% more chance to get loots
Another famous subscription MMO also has 24-hour maintenance to accompany some of their major patches, and they've done two-day maintenance for an expansion.
Do agree, though, that the goal should be trying to provide consistent estimates as much as possible, understanding that occasionally unexpected situations can happen.

and for comp, i only got 4 comp from kakao for 20 emergency maintenance, 6 extensive maintenance from them, for tera we only need to do maintenance once by week, with black desert it is 3 times by week
I'm sorry but this is bs. I hate black desert and even I wouldn't say this like it's some how worse than Tera. They had a super long maintenance when they moved to better servers cause the community complained about crazy lag for a long time. They actually did what the community wanted and tried to fix the lag which is more than can be said for EME. Also Black desert servers actually come up early from maintenance a good chunk of the time. There is no comparison between that game and Tera. Tera is by far worse. Lets not even mention the fact that BDO gets balance patches one week after they hit Korea while we wait 4 months for the same simple things here. The only thing Tera has over BDO is pve.
