I've heard of several different version of the new dragon mount not sure which is true though.
Version 1: 30min buff that adds 320k or 400k damage to crits
Version 2: 6 second buff that adds 320k or 400k damage to crits
Version 3: add 320k or 400k to next crit

All have 1 hour or 24 hour cooldown.
The first version is broken af. Basically all of your fast hitting skills will receive a huge buff. It's about 40% more damage from gunners burst fire for example.
The second version is a little worse than the current dragon.
    And the third is useless.

I really do hope it's the third like the last few mounts but we'll see.
Also the item level barrier to entry into dungeons is dumb af. So what your telling me is I have to wait for all of my healer friends to gear before I run with them. Dungeons need to be limited by skill not gear. Even the item level requirement for vanguards in dungeons is pretty universally hated.

I doubt you'll find anyone disagreeing with you on this, except perhaps the biggest Bluehole shills.
All we can do is hope the Koreans are upset enough by it to change Bluehole's mind. Otherwise it'll stay as is, and we'll get it here in about 6 months.

edit: This is referring to the dungeon ilvl stuff, I don't care about these mounts. The heroic oath enchanting was bad enough, but making it required to even enter the dungeon? Way too much. Just look at these requirements to go from +1 to +2:

Absolute nightmare. Really hoping the Korean player base makes a massive stink about it so something's done.

That's 612k per try right there. And to think that for the item level 457 dungeon, you need at least one HO +1 piece, or a HO + 2 piece depending on how your jewellery is enchanted.

And you have to be 457 to get into the dungeon. Yup, that means 457 to press the teleport button.

Yup! And then they force you to go for those kinds of cancerous upgrades otherwise you literally can't even enter the new dungeons. Therein lies the difference between then and now. At least now, you can enter any dungeon and try it out even if you don't meet the gear score. You'll lose out on the vanguard reward (which is bad as well, but that's a separate complaint for a different thread), but you can at least DO the thing. Not anymore with this dumb update.

Not all content should have to be for everyone, and this is for the elites that meet the requirements. What tf is the point of having super high tier gear if there isn't special content for it? You're all fine as long as the new content includes your ilvl, but as soon as it's over your ilvl out come the complaints. Your arguments are that they should not come out with better anything than you've already bought? You already bought the 2.0 mounts, thought you were kings of the world and that should be it?

Seeing as many of you demanded the server merges to be able to do dungeons, you should have no troubles earning the materials to max out your gear after the merge is complete. Plus, you will have all of your pals that were on other servers be able to help you. Suck it up buttercups.

Nobody's complaining about hard content for the hardcore crowd. People are pissed because starting with this update, you actually won't be able to even ENTER the dungeon without enchanting all this crazy BiS garbage that costs hundreds of thousands of gold per attempt and has crazy low success rates. Nobody's excited about more soul-sucking RNG, and nobody wants to be told that they can't even carry their lesser geared friends through the dungeon because their friends can't even enter until they spend like a year gearing up. Being physically gated from content because of gear has never been the case in the game's life; you could always at least enter the dungeon no matter what your gear score was, even if you'd have a bear of a time completing the content in lower tier gear. It sets a new precedent, especially with how kTera is also apparently pushing gearing mats into the cash shop through lootboxes. Effectively they're starting the process of gating content behind a paywall and making it harder for people to play together; those are the issues on a lot of people's minds right now.

I swear, ever since the server merge news came out, butthurt people have been coming out of the woodwork to try and drag it into every thread they can. From what I understand, you left the game over xigncode anyway (which is completely understandable), so why be so bitter about a decision you didn't agree with? I actually feel bad for EME in this case, because after a year+ of people screaming for the damn server merges, they finally got the thing pushed through and then BHS went and dropped a whole new load of [filtered] in their lap that'll probably kill the game no matter what they do. I don't even know "elites" who're looking forward to this crap.

I think even BHS knows that this game is going downhill and are trying to milk it for what's left of it. If they're trying to grow their player base, this is NOT the way to go about doing it. It's bad enough that they're pushing the cash shop more and more rather than adding fun/interesting content for everyone, but to give 99% of players a slap in the face and say "Hey, you can't enter this dungeon unless you make Tera your full time job or swipe swipe that credit card." is just the biggest middle finger to everyone.

If they really wanted to milk the game they'd make content give good rewards for everyone who completes something (not just roll and pray), stop this insane gear grind with the new items, and reduce store costs so that more people buy real money items (and keep P2W items out of it.)

Perhaps the revenue wouldn't be enough to sustain the game but neither is the current strategy; might as well let people have some fun while it remains open.

but that's what elins are for. they come out with something new for elins or a new mount with all kinds of perks , or maybe even a new cute costume for elins, and people swipe their credit cards so fast, that it breaks the sound barrier. sometimes i feel like they are tired of tera, and are intentionally trying to make it fail and make money in the process until it shuts down completely. maybe im wrong, and im hoping that i am, but i agree with you, they would keep and bring in so many people if they would just read our forums and use many of the suggestions that people have gave. it doesn't matter if you like the person giving it or not, a good idea is still a good idea no matter who had it.
  • I liked the old gear progression where you could enter the end game dungeon in mid-tier gear, and approaching BiS was an option rather than something you were forced to do. I think what made it fun in the past was being able to get a character into the bare minimum requirements for a dungeon and then diving straight in with mid-tier gear, and appreciating the effect of gear as you get a new equipment piece. VSHM was clearable in misery, but I still wanted to go all out and gear up to clear it more efficiently. When I went from a misery chest to a VM chest, the difference in what I could tank was so noticeable, and it felt like the progression through gearing was meaningful. Now it's like, spend the entire patch just to earn a 1% defense increase that won't let you survive any differently?

I already hated how I went from being able to run VSHM on any character I wanted down to being able to run RKEM on only 5 characters that had weeks of effort poured into it already, down to only being able to run AAHM on 2 characters that had months of effort put into them. When a new endgame dungeon comes out, the focus should be on that rather than doing old content just to be able to run the new content. LFGs are dead for the 439 and 446 dungeons, and you need to grind through those just to be able to gear up to access AAHM now. That new 457 requirement just really kills it.

you can stop at +9 storm like me cause waste money on death bed tera i'll see many hanging themselves when tera do dies in NA anyways to fight the hardest of content you need the best gear in game so is that what the developer wants it players to do. Another option is riot for change or sit there like a momo and eat what they put in your plate.

I made this thread so we can discuss and hopefully the higher ups can see how the community feels about the direction of where TERA is heading, There was a company called Jagex that had a really popular game called Runescape this is the game I originally played and they did an update that changed the core mechanics of the game and they didn't listen to their community and went ahead with it anyway even though everyone did not like it, they lost over half their playerbase. Now they actually listen to their community and make polls for updates to see if the playerbase will agree with what they are going to do etc and from doing that they seem to be doing good.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ BHS has never cared about regions outside KR unless it's an idea that provides them with $$ (JP and their costumes). Honestly if our opinion actually mattered a lot of issues would have been resolved, or least an attempt would have been made, by EmE and BHS.

In the previous gear progression you could enter all dungeons in low tier gear (Guile +12) with Heaven/Gods accesories and golden inner.

You didnt even needed mid tier or high tier gear, only accesories and those were easy to farm or to get throught Island of Dawn tokens.

Honestly this business strategy is common with Korean MMORPG. First it starts with a huge player base and then it goes downhill from greedy p2w direction. When theres almost no one left, milk the remaining player very hard then they terminate the servers if it's not profitable anymore. Just name those old korean mmorpgs you played back in the days and check their state now. That's the direction tera is going.

Well i have definitily no regret leaving this game (2years ago) now
Switched to FFXIV since a while

(leaving a game =/= leaving the forums and other stuff)

Master x Master have a very good gameplay but got ruined by Korean things (+ got shutdown),this is not a mmo but still
TERA have the best gameplay of any mmorpg but its getting seriously ruined by those Korean things again so for now i expect a shutdown in 2020
(Korean things = greedy p2w etc)

That [filtered] sucks, like the only thing they do great is the gameplay but the rest is horrible
  • What are those weird items u need to upgrade heroic oath? No more veils needed? I dont see how people are saying its 500k per enchant i see 8 diamonds, 45k gold, and the gold/silver plate is like another 200k?

It is no less than 300k per attemp and if you take into account that many people needs about 9 tries to get a success...

The main issue will become the sources where you can get enought talents (silver being the hardest) and the time crafting them into plates.

Even to get them from BGs is about luck, you can open 100 boxes and get less than 100 silver talents if you are not lucky.

Or any at all, like me :D

I only open like um, 30 maybe near 40 boxes a day and its like hmmmmm, almost to the week 3 now, well maybe not everyday since i dont do FWC that often but i always do CS when its CS day. I havent got a single gold talent let alone silver talent, the amount of golden talent in my bank is 96 and im pretty sure 90% of those are from Ghillieglade since i dont even recall AAh drops any at all?

My armor is at the early stage of SC and the future is completely dark

Luckily Tera encourages skill-play so i dont really need my good armor to do future contents anyways... Owait

Iv been wanting to say this but i knew my voice wouldnt be heard anyways  More RNG = Good game, i need to learn more about life.
