Is this really Tera?

I have just started playing Tera and I'm about lvl 40. The game looked promising but then I got into a bg . It took awlie to get into a bg , no problem. The i got in and i was a big bear with a diaper. Wtf lol! That made me start noticing other things. Like the key to open the lock box's uses a key only obtainable by a store purchase. I'm stacked with the things so I went to the auction house to buy a key. The key is 2k gold. You think I'm spending 2k gold on a thing I got at lvl 20? The answer is no. The auction house also had about 10 items all together. I put in 6 items and now I run more then half the servers auctions. Interaction with other players is also not as easy as it could be. You have to look right at the player and hope he doesnt move. No room for error. I don't want to go too long because maybe I'm being too critical.
The thing that bothers me though is Tera could be great but it comes up short in alot of things. Everything is here for it to be great but it somehow is underwhelming and it feels intentional.

I agree that the items we receive from the locked boxes are not worth nearly price of the key, so I eventually quit opening them. Even when you move up to level 65 and are receiving spellbound and extensive boxes, you will usually open a box and find ONE piece of alkahest, or something like that. They should at least have 16 or something in there. It takes 16 pieces of alkahest just to enchant a chest piece from 0 to +1, even assuming the constant "failed to enchant" message does not pop up (another highly frustrating issue for which the odds are stacked greatly against the player, but that is another issue for another thread). They should also greatly increase the chance of receiving Rejuvination Potion X3, and some other useful things like that from the locked boxes. I used to buy keys from the EMP store, but after opening a couple hundred boxes and finding nothing but cheap junk in almost all of them (I got a lucky pop once in a while, but rarely), I now have several hundred locked spellbound and extensive boxes in my bank. I do not see the point in spending real money for something that I know will not be worth nearly the amount of money I paid for it. Tera posted about making upgrades to the locked boxes on PC. I most certainly HOPE they upgrade the locked boxes on console, soon. I don't know if they plan to upgrade the locked boxes on console, but they definitely need to plan it soon and do it. Opening a Lilith's Treasure Chest or a Crystal Box and finding some cheap junk in there every time is disappointing, but at least I do not have to pay real money for those, so it is just "Oh well, maybe I will have better luck next time." However, when it comes to a box that I have to pay real money to open, then I want to feel like I got something of value for my money EVERY TIME, even if it is not the particular item I was hoping for.

Strongboxes are entirely junk outside of events...easier money is to sell keys or hoard them until said events where their prices sky rocket

Also. Leaving a dungeon that had every person leave because like a tank and heals left still gives you a debuff.

Chat censors alot of words that arnt even bad. Kinda weird since it's like some weird japanese anime.

Spells sometimes bug out by takeing the mana to cast it but no spell being cast.

Redundant spells that do pretty much the same thing. just to say it's got a gazillion spells.

Not explaining what racials a race has.

Not properly explaing what's a dps class and a tank class.

Doesn't give a dps buff for people dropping out of a group. It litterally took 30 mins to down a boss. Kind of hard to choose a between 15min debuff and wait 8 mins for a group or just keep punishing yourself to move on.

Im sure the developers see these problems too but I guess it could be seen as the only difficulty the game has.

It makes me sad that a game with so much potential is in the state it's in.

Did you ever try Disbanding the group? or asking to get kicked?

Comparer à tera sur pc rien à voir Omg.. Le truc est bâclé sans parler du pvp pourri.. Clair voie mdr.
Gorge de venteguerre est milles fois mieux mais bien sur pas disponible .. Génial le seul bg qui était au top n'est pas disponible..
Tt est bâclé... Du pve au pvp..
Enfin si on peut appelé sa pvp car pvp.. Kuma lol lol lol lol et lol
Continuer comme ça et vous allez en perdre du monde. Alors plutôt que remplir la boutique de truc merdique qui sert à rien enfin si au kikoolol pour se faire du ponion. Il faudrait revoir le pvp et pve.

Dude. Just do max level as fast as possible. There the game begins. Below that it´s basically dead.

I have to say though, while queues are fast now and enough people are playing the game, the auction house is hilarious empty. I wonder why is that.

Didn´t play for some time so i don´t know what happened the last months xd

Anyway, to explain PS4 Tera: Popularitiy is good, community/communication is just insane shiat. Atleast in dungeon partys you have some nice chats here and there, but open world communication is more or less nonexistent and every guild somehow consists of 90% people offline and 2-3 regular online people xd.

Ye... i don´t know. For me the game is still fun and i always see many people playing but somehow there are too many guilds or too many people not even caring about joining a guild.

I see they fixed the chat, but it´s way too late. Damage is already done, i don´t think it will recover from this community illness.

Also i think Tera console would have been way more interesting if they completely started from the beginning OR after war revamp with more dungeons. They just released console Tera too early, you can basically feel the rush from EME through the half working game at best on release and even today it´s still not working right in many aspects.

The gameplay works fine, but everything else is just a mess or not even working at all, mainly the community functions or trade function but also many other elements.

BHS (Blue Hole Studios) is the Developer and EME just listens to them and helps with NA release customer support.

I have not played for a couple months now, but it is good to hear they actually fixed chat . . . finally
