BRAND new player, help pls
hey guys so me and my friend found tera whilst looking for a new game (coming from WoW) and it looks really interesting. WoW being the only other mmo ive ever played, tera is mind blowingly complicated and I have a few questions.
1. does tera's end game content have replayablility? im only 20 now and have been really enjoying the combat mechanics but all ive done is quest so I have no idea what dungeons or pvp is like and im curious what all there is to do at max level.
2. so I stumbled upon the dressing room and found some costumes I think look really cute but alas they aren't on the store anymore which leaves me with the AH (trade broker?) and the costume I want costs 125k. I buy some crates from the store and get a costume thats listed on the ah for 225k (no idea if thats what its actually worth) so im thinking ok, ill slap this on the ah and use the gold to buy the one I want right? wrong. it costs like 12k just to post it and I have a total of 1g atm. is gold easier to get max level or am I expected to play the ah/work professions to be able to use the ah?
thanks in advance! game look like fun and id really like to get into it.

You've got a lot of questions that are kind of all over the place so I apologize if my answer seems to jump from one topic to the next. I'll try to address stuff that Counterpoint hasn't pointed out yet.
Tera's leveling experience is relatively quick but the leveling experience from 1-65 is mediocre at best. Quests give you pitiful XP in comparison to just running dungeons nonstop. Low level dungeons are fairly lackluster, IMS queue times are abysmal as DPS, and 90% of the people you get in leveling dungeon IMS parties have zero understanding of their class and just rush through the dungeon. To make it more enjoyable, consider joining a guild or doing dungeons with friends - if you have two or three friends, then you don't even have to bother with the IMS system and you can just do the dungeon with three or four people.
Of course, you can always grab a couple of friends and just go explore the overworld if you get tired of dungeons.
OWPvP is essentially dead with the only PvP content that's really done anymore is Civil Unrest and PvP Battlegrounds (both of which you can't do until Lv. 65 iirc)
As Counterpoint said, endgame is where most of Tera's focus is as that's where the gear grind starts. It's best to spend levels 1-65 making sure that you actually know your class and combos. If you're unsure, there are usually some guides on essentialmana that are still relevant. We also used to have class-specific sub-forums that had great information but iirc those got deleted a few months ago so.
As for dressing room stuff, EME just removed 90% of the cash shop cosmetics after their anniversary in May, while introducing "daily deals" - which are now "weekly deals" that have a chance at bringing back items that they no longer sell in the store (though for the past month the "featured deals" have had nothing but things in the cash shop). If you're going to sell anything expensive on the broker, it's best to buy elite for a month as that waives any brokerage fees that you have to pay for listing an item.
Hope this helps.8

As for things to do at 65... there is not the quantity and variety of WoW to be sure, and it's fair to say that this is very much a "gear grind" sort of game. (It will take you a long while, and cost a lot of in-game resources, to get BiS gear.) But there is some variety of things to do, both solo and group (including some PvP). For how long it'll satisfy you probably depends on how many hours you're planning to dedicate a day/week, and also whether you are able to find a good guild to play with.
You will start hitting some dungeons now that you've hit level 20, but note that people don't always queue for these low-level dungeons as many prefer to level in other ways, and many players are already at level 65. Ability to find parties will also depend in part on what time you play (NA prime time or "off hours") and what class you play (tanks and healers are always more in demand).
You can post on the "trade" channel your item for sale, as a text, and interested people will whisper (PM) you directly. It may take longer, but since you do have this costume that is worth a considerable sum, you can try this, it ain't gonna hurt after all.
Once you do find someone that wants it, of course they'll try to lower the price (except some cases), lower or not is your choice (people also ain't paying more for what they can get in broker for less, remember that), then, once you're both OK with it, you meet in person (...in character) and one of you clicks the other's character directly, and select the "trade" option. From there, once the other agrees to trade as well, opens a window where you both can place items and gold. Place your stuff, wait for the player to place his gold (or if trading for another costume for example, placing his costume), and ONLY WHEN YOU'RE OK WITH WHAT'S ON THAT BOX, you press to "Lock Trade".
It's scam proof, you cannot lock the trade with untradeable items on the box, you cannot lock the trade by yourself, both parties have to press the "Lock Trade" for items to be transferred. Just, check the sum of gold or if the item is the correct one on the trade box.
One important thing to consider that you may have seen or not: items like costumes are race locked. Basically, you may have the same costume available for all females, but if you open the boxes as an Elin, you only use that on Elins. So when trading, also check if the costume you want and is on the trade offer is for the race you want. You can't see it visually unless it's single-race exclusive, so hover on top of the icon, it can tell you if it's already used ("Soulbound to XX") or wrong race.
Trading is also a way to sell huge bulks of stuff that sell well enough and avoid broker taxes. Elite Status also removes broker taxes by the way (Anyone, correct me if I'm outdated here)
