Well, just got the email from EME about hey, we got a server merge coming up. And wow brom2855, it's been ages since we've seen you. Here's a code for free sky blue costume an blue visor, and 15 days of Elite, 1k metamorphic emblems (w/e those are), health potions, bravery potions, and 5 on-fire potions!

I'm not sure Tera's worth returning to. Been 3-4 years, so recall pvp even on MT server was basically niche, not many participants. Getting a guild that'd help with gearing up mains and alts usually wasn't too bad, just prove yourself capable in pve stuff. BHS had decided on their schedule of every 6 months, erase dungeons, replace with new ones and new gear set, recycle many monsters every time, release a new class annually, and ignore a lot of valid complaints (remember a repeated one is BHS wouldn't optimize the game or switch to an engine better suited to MMO).

    it's no different. It might even be worse. no one's gonna sit here and waste their time trying to "change your mind" about it. You can either try it again or not.

    I don't think you're gonna get people throwing themselves out here to try and change your mind. Most of the problems you had with the game when you left are still around. PvP's even more niche. Content cycles are still roughly the same schedule, with a filler dungeon coming in to break up the monotony every 2~3 months or so. Honestly to me the last major content update was the gearing revamp, and everything after that has felt like minor add-ons but eh. Dungeons aren't erased anymore, so there's more to do in general, but it's all stuff you've probably done before. At least with a server merge, there'll be more people to play with. It's up to you dude.

    Everything only got worse, so yeah I suggest you don't come back, keep whatever good memories you have of Tera safely locked and stowed away.

    If the "ignore a lot of valid complaints" concerned you, then guess what, it's still a thing but worse.

    I guess that made up your mind then.

    But yeah don't come back, this game is nothing but trying to milk cash outta your pockets by bringing questionable stuff to shop. Blob summon thrall is a walkstep or w/e those annoying FPS killers are called when you walk around. Then they introduce item xp boost. And recently they added pets to auto-use your consumable that's apparently free if you know the right places.

    It's a shame though, but that's reality. All thanks to corporation.

    I been playing for 4 months now. I honesty don't know what it use to be. I generally enjoy the game. The combat is fun and the pvp is great (though qu-sync will without a doubt kill pvp if it is not fixed). Besides this minor issue, I say come back. The game is worth it.

    You're still in the honeymoon period of the game, 4 months isn't much when the games content cycles is generally 6 months. People who have 1+ years with the game know how it is, how the publisher is, how content works and how little the game offers after awhile. Yeah their welcome to try it, but as others said, barely anyone will be tripping over themselves to convince them to come back.
    Let me leak this for you, the game has been around for 6 years and the developer is working on their other 12 fps game, so i think they should embargo to another game instead of wasting time here.

    Quite frankly, staying as a "filthy casul" is the best option in my view. Those are the ones that never get burned out of the game since they leave and come back at random.

    Like, don't come to devote yourself to the game, just come for random fun as long as it doesn't tire you out. I would say TERA is a great game to just play at random instead of devoting yourself to it (frankly, that's not healthy in ANY game, but this one's situation begs for it)

    I agree with this as well. As a casual pass-time (the way you might treat a mobile game, let's say), this game is quite fun. But it isn't able to handle the weight of most of those who want to make this their full-time game. There are some things EME could do to help here (and I think they should), but even if they did everything right, the true problems are deep-seated and structural within the base game and its global development plan.

    In general, as you allude to, it's pretty hard for any MMO to survive the honeymoon period for most people if they try to make it their sole/primary focus game (so it's exactly like a honeymoon period in a marriage where less than half survive lol), but yeah -- TERA in particular has a tough time.

    This is more like a joke .. lol

    U dont play tera for what it is , as a game , is not fun , but for the friends u have ingame , if u want to play and hang around with others. Tera is not some solo game, so, to me, community is all what matters in tera.

    You can try to play it but first as a casual to see if you can fit it anymore...

    At least we have the awakenings coming for all the other classes over the next month and the talent system sometimes later so its worth giving it a try and see how it is..

    Pick the wrong class? Trash in pve.
    Don't queue bgs with friends? Trash in bgs.
    Open world pvp? 1 shot by mystics/warriors/slayers. (mystic's a healer btw)
    CU? Not in Mani, trash in CU.
    Less than 4 hours a day of gaming? Nice gear lmao.

    Game's in the worst state it's been in.
