Is the champion's token exchange shop actually a joke?

I can't really see any other reason for it.. The tokens aren't bankable, and you're limited to getting 3 per day... which means if you farm the event every day for the entire duration of the event, you can earn... one diamond. Sure, you can do the event on multiple characters and get multiple diamonds that way, but if you miss even two days you get 0 diamonds.. and nothing else in the shop is even worthwhile, 3 SSHM clears for a single emerald? What do you have against the dungeon delver coins...? You're adding a new shop which only realistically rewards temporary cosmetics, why? The dungeon delver shop is already in place and a better balanced shop..

Do you really need to ask at this point? Everything is a joke here

The point of the event is not to farm Diamonds. It's to get the hammers to upgrade your brooch. That is the only reason for SS being brought back.

And on that note: Farming Hammers on your Main to Upgrade Brooches on Alts doesn't work. Farm them on your Alts.

So the goal of this event is to make people run boring slow dungeons on their alts to get something that already drops from said boring, slow dungeons? I.. Yeah, I'm just gonna go with "this is definitely a joke." I for one see no point in running ssnm and sshm daily for an entire week to have a chance at upgrading something when it would take less time to just farm and upgrade it without the hammer, even if it's your main..
  • Actually blows my mind how EME thinks this event makes any sense at all. Why even put a limit on being able to farm the tokens? EVEN if the tokens were worth farming (which they aren't). It's like they want people to run less content through introducing these limits on top of the bad rewards. Actually insane.

If EME are running the event as implemented in most other regions, there is a reasonable chance to drop the normal hammer as well each run, on average every other run of SSNM and every run of SSHM. So you should be getting enough hammers to upgrade your brooch before getting to 28 tokens, for something that might fail to refine the brooch anyways.

Whilst the success rate on the normal hammer to upgrade to a refined brooch, you should be done after 8 hammers average from what I've seen on EU. And you get to keep your EXP.

And I'm not sure if you're aware, but the enchant costs per try are approximately

    Normal Brooch:

    68 Silver Plates
    21 Archdevan Formula
    11 Carved Ornaments
    3 Otherwordly Shards
    2 Diamonds
    2k Gold

    Refined Brooch:
    1 Silver Plate
    2 Archdevan Formula
    1 Carved Ornament
    2k gold

So, for the effort of running SSNM/HM on the alts that you want to get a Quatrefoil on, you're getting la lot more tries for a refined brooch than you are on a normal brooch for the same amount of money.

Average 8 Hammers (approx 16 SSNM) to reduce you brooch enchant costs vs not refining it. It's up to you.

If I were a newer player, I'd probably go for the Hammer route if I wasn't already in a HH raid.
