Currently, chamion's token shop is definitely one of the most poorly planned ones I've seen in a recent while, topping even dungeon delver coins. There's nothing in it for endgame players who already have a quatrefoil or marrow brooch, and quite a lot of people have them.

Given the event ends 11th October, if you never miss a day capping out on tokens, you'll get ONLY ONE DIAMOND per character (assuming you have several characters that can run SSH). Even if Hammers are the highlight of this event.... you can only get 2.

Are temporary afros even worth mentioning? We have asked sooooo many times to allow us to have something permanent to earn during event, regardless if you have to up the price in tokens. It's true that if you spend every single token on afros you can get a 1-year supply of them, but it still sting that they're temporary. After 1 year is over, then what?

We need an event that's worth running and from which we can make a profit one way or another. No one's asking for game-breaking Neo-mongos. Events are meant to be something that boost our experience and/or profits for doing certain stuff, whether it's open world or dungeon based. But when you'll be able to buy more diamonds from VG gold reward than with event tokens....

    What I don't understand is why they don't just add hammers (gems would be nice too) to dungeon delver coins and use those for dungeon events, since.. that's what they're for?

    I was so exited when i saw info about that even in calender day before it started. "Finally i can buy that blonde afro and make my little popo happy!" i thought. Especially after i've learned RuTera added pink and blonde afros in their Federation Bills shop.
    ...and another disappointment in the end.
    And i can't even run the dungeon on my main more often to help gear my alts.

    I don't think EME have the power to change this SS event dungeon, remove the Champion Coin and add it to the Delver coin, as sensible as it sounds. Afaik, all the other regions didn't change the token drop either.

    I've been running the event dungeons and since SS drops the normal hammers anyways, I should be able to refine my 3rd Gold Brooch tonight, and SS hasn't been around for that long. So yeah, when framed that way, the token shop is pretty bad for the Master hammer, the actual item SS is designed to drop this time around.

    The idea of lowering the cost of some of the items in the token shop was bounced around in the EME Discord, but as you can see, it hasn't happened.

    Blame the EME Discord for this one. The implications that afros are required in game have been pretty strong in there.

    Not even an event. Just some tweaks and stability to the NA "core" build so that the game is a bit more farming friendly, which is leaning into the territory of the golden talents discussipn

    Its so bad that even if they made those tokens be normal drops 1 nm and 2 hm so you could spam it, this whole event would still be terrible. Asumming you did 2x nm then 2x hm and used reset scroll it would take 40 runs to get a single diamond. In current form its a joke.

    At least increase drop rate in ss since its supposed to be dungeon highlight, then at least i could do it for mats.

    It sucks. It's horrible. It's a waste of time. But that doesn't and won't matter. They will keep doing these events to further disappoint us event after event so they can have an excuse to put out when anyone asks them what exactly they have done. They won't learn from feedback, and all they will say is that they will take the feedback. Past evidence proves that. Until the game is completely dead, they will continue to release half assed events that are only there as scapegoat for when they're questioned about their productivity.

    Additional vanguard rewards are one of the very few things eme does still know how to change, afaik. but they don't have the confidence to run any events of their own because they recognize that they don't really know what they're doing.
