  • Well, and, shrinking down to 2 servers means little when most of the other regions in the world (including K-TERA) have been on 2 servers for a long time now. With the talent system being server-wide, there's a real disincentive now for this game to have any more servers than necessary.

I almost had a heart attack with flash backs from when i used to spend 700k up to 1mil just to fail from +12 to +15 on a weapon and end up with +12 in the end ( and it was some years ago so imagine the value of gold at the time ). This is also the reason why i quit BDO and came back to Tera a while ago...

But i am glad that this is not part of the entire system and instead it is only another option that someone can take so as long as this is optional then this is just fine.

I would chalk this up to yet another item that would work better if the enchanting system itself had some tweaks to it.

Why do I say that, some of you may be wondering? Because there's already d**k-kicking RNG to deal with in the first place. This item would work better if there wasn't any randomness associated with crafting and upgrading/enchanting.

So the end result would instead be either a) you grind out the materials and money like normal and upgrade/enchant the old fashion way or b) use this item that completely eliminates the cost of upgrading and enchanting but with a 50% chance of downgrading should it fail. The people with little to nothing to lose (or have a hilariously disposable income) can try out the new item while the people who'd rather not press their luck get to move on as normal. Everyone's happy.

Also, I'm with @Equitas - please make sure you have all your facts together first, if only to avoid yet another mass panic. These forums are jumpy enough as it is.
  • Be informed before making a post, and do it with all the information instead of just making those uninformed to panic about something that isn't.
  • Speculating when the server will close down or stay up is completely waste of time just enjoy the game as how it is now. Because you can't predict what BHS will do.

Same can be said that I've seen games that went down which have more servers and population than Tera currently, suddenly closing down because publisher revokes the license or not being profitable enough so they can focus their developement on their next cashgrabbing title.
  • STOP panic; thread is full of lies

    this is KR only event
the item does NOT lower the level. the item on failure removes the effect of the previous item.
  • If you use it on your equipment +6, then in case of failure, NOTHING will be removed. Equipment will remain +6

If you apply it to +6, in case of luck you will get +7. Now if you apply this item again, in case of failure you will lose the +1 bonus and your equipment will be +6.

But if you once again apply the item, and again there will be a failure - you again NOTHING will lose anything.

Only the effect of the event item flies off
