Dark Reaches Level-Up and BuddyUp Don't Overlap?

Do the Dark-Reaches Level rewards and BuddyUp not overlap? I made a new character where I had BuddyUp and when I hit level 3 I did not get rewards suggested on this page:

    Smart idea though. Try making a non-buddy up character and see if it is the same?

    Actually this may be a bug. I deleted my buddyup character and remade him and now I don't get the rewards.

    I've confirmed they overlap and I was the victim of a bug from re-making a character over and over. I made a test account and used a buddyup code from my main account and it worked fine. I got both rewards (buddyup at level 1, Dark Reaches level-up at level 3).

    It's not really a bug, it's that the rewards are only once per class per server. So yeah, if you keep trying to remake a character and reclaim the rewards, it won't work.
