Avoiding a wipe is better than having to rez. I would admit that is less likely at under 60 dungeons, but it can happen with ones 60+.
On Brawlers this isn't as big of a deal, because threat for them is a part of their offensive threat design, and them continuing to attack returns threat to them without too much fuss. But on a Lancer, their threat is part of their defense and counter-attack built threat design. If they aren't getting hit, it does handicap their ability to generate threat.
Sadly, the type of Mystic player that does these kinds of things is probably not the kind that participates in, or even reads, forums. I do wholeheartedly agree that the "Kick" feature needs an overhaul, though. SERIOUSLY.
