Essetially it seems the rest of the regions got this whole gender locked thing shoved down out throats solely because it was -is- a sucess in other country.
Even if Blue hole doesn't run with it. It would at least show that players are in fact interested in male classes.
Until then elin scrubs and casta female frizzies get over their sexual needs we won't have a male class. Simple as that. They're retardedly popular but I'm not surprised Americans for you.
the game turn into scarlet blade since 2 years so tera is female only
That's a start, but buying more male costumes isn't enough, we would need to also stop or reduce the sales of female cosmetics items to really make an impact... and then we might need to achieve the same in the asian market, which sounds unlikely.
While I know getting male only classes is too far of a stretch (because you dont know a market for males if you refuse to allow a market to exist), they need to start with costumes. Male only trends. More dyeable male costumes. Etc. And people need to SHOW their support and need for male interests in the game with money.
I'm more than willing to drop 200$ on that.
1. You can develop your own game with male classes
2. You can offer to pay BHS whatever it costs to create a male class
Otherwise I think BHS is just going to continue to operate under the assumption that female classes will always be more popular and generate more revenue. And in spite of the fact that I, and many other players, would like to see more male classes, I don't entirely disagree with their premise. I think we have to accept the fact that people who play male classes are a minority. You could argue that people only play females because we're forced to (and that is a valid argument), but even when you look at legacy classes, there seem to be an abundance of females, particularly elins. I mean, my main is a human male archer. I don't think I've ever seen another human male archer in game. Seen plenty of elin archers, female castanic archers, even a couple popori archers... though popori themselves are about as rare as Barakas and even more rare than femanis. I just think we're outnumbered on this particular subject. Of course, I think if BHS released a new class that was locked to any male, popori, Baraka, or femani, you would see a sudden flood of people playing those characters, because ultimately most players prioritize "shiny new class" over race and gender anyway.
Sorry, it's not that I disagree with your plea, I 100% support lifting both race and gender requirements on the new classes, and I'm not defending BHS's decisions, even though they may make "business sense" based on their metrics. I'm just not going to hold out hope that they will suddenly change their minds and their business model, considering that their main focus for the past couple of years has been on females and elins in particular. They've pretty much said outright that they don't have the time or resources to create classes for all races and genders, and that they are going to continue to focus on what primarily brings in revenue for them, which in this case is females. It is what it is. Although for the record, if anyone at BHS cares enough to hear feedback from the NA community, I for one would vote for the option to be able to play as a male (though I'm fairly certain that petitions aren't allowed here on the forums).
EDIT: LOL the forum filtered out the term for "naughty" role play
It's definitely an idea
