Anyway.. use crystals such as wrathful/focused/pounding with consumables such as bulgogi/bravery ( even some noctenium ) and a good idea might be ( not sure if it works but it should ) to enhance all your gear with hp every 5sec and especially on boots/chest since you can probably get up to 3% or even 5% every 5sec from the entire gear which helps when kiting..
Good luck.
No, there's nothing I can really suggest you to do other than stop lying to us or yourself. If everything was as you said you would breeze through the questline in 20 mins tops.
Correct crystals and rolls? Seems to be a much broader term than I think, care to specify?
Correct skill rotations/priority, care to specify again?
By your logic, everyone who completed the quest is a god of their class? There seem to be a lot running around.
I'm not trying to insult, I just find it incredibly hard to sympathize. If you've been playing since Demokron Factory was around (more than a year ago?) and having trouble completing a story quest? There's a lot of things off about your story. Or something you're not telling us.
That doesn't overlook the fact that the enemies hit harder and have higher endurance than g**damn IoD hydraths despite being the same level.
Seriously, the black dragon you fight before you get your Apex skills isn't that ridiculous.
@TheDarkWan For a warrior try to use healing glyphs and focus on rotation with this skills, will take longer but with those and pots should be okay.
I know you didn't direct this at me, but I want to still tell you to keep trying and not give up. It may be as difficult as it's told by others and as experienced by yourself. maybe it should be toned down. But on the other side, many have done it already, so it's not completely impossible. As I said before. If these enemies don't come with special mechanics and are just stronger copy paste of the good ole dragons, then practice on those. And when you beat them without getting hit at all, come back and try this one.
I must also remind you and everyone else bringing up the point, solo play is slightly different from party play. It's not necessarily more difficult nor easier, but definitely different. When tanking in a party, you can dedicate yourself to the task of not allowing the enemy to focus on someone else, all the while, the healer focuses the most on you, so you will have a constant health income while doing your rotations. I myself have tanked a bit (also tanked both sorc and lancer at demokron on different runs so while I'm a noob I'm not totally clueless).
On solo play, you don't have this heals income, but you are also not tied to time constrains. meaning, you should think more about evasion. Those normal hits you normally take while tanking on a party that the healer usually recovers for you, you don't have that luxury in solo, because you need that HP in case you get caught in a harder hit. So for that, you learn and practice evasive maneuvers you usually don't do when in a party (since you shoulnd't move the boss somewhere else while in party play). And I think this part is the key to solo these kinds of bosses. By evading what you would normally face tank.
Another thing is rotations. Usually when solo, you may not be able to run a full rotation as if you were in a party because you will need to evade more often. So do not concentrate on rolling a full rotation. Just chip it what you can while the enemy is not attacking, and fully concentrate on evasion or any other defensive maneuvers like i-frames while the enemy is attacking. Again, this last part comes naturally after studying the boss you are fighting.
So really. Don't give up. I still feel you can do it. You just need to let go of some party play practices and adapt yourself to solo play. OR we can play the waiting game and see if KR or EME will eventually make these quests easier. I personally don't want to wait for that.
The only suggestion I can offer, what finally got me through, is to work really hard to never overcharge your skills, and to run away at the first sign of serious trouble. Better to reset the boss than to die, right?
Also, try getting one of those auto-heal pets to go with you?
Don't give up. Apex is worth it.
(But don't be surprised if you don't even want to look at your zerk for a while after )
Dragons... I aaaaaaaaaalways hated fighting dragons on zerk. And the saddest part is that if you die, you have to restart all over hahaha u_u
