Fix the dressing room

  • True since gearing takes centuries. And is pw2, dressing is the true end game. Also add more skin palettes to all races. Is a shame that there is no avalaible a real dark skin more than a cacao color.

I agree. I notice some races have better dark skin choices than others - like castanics and humans. I wanted to make my high elf female have dark skin but was shockingly disappointed to find out there were NO options in that regard. The best I could do was some kind of sallow skin tone that in the palette looked the darkest brown shade, but comes off the opposite when actually used on the character.

But the dressing room is a huge issue for me too. Its embarrassingly incomplete, and most of the stuff in there aren't even available in the cash shop. How hard is it to put everything in there?

If they haven't fixed it since a few months ago (it's been heavily outdated since long before apex2, and was still outdated even when it had the supercharged weapon skins), it means they either have nobody to fix it for them (possible if they reduced employee count), or they have it as a very low priority (which if they do they are doing it wrong since that's the main face of their cash shop), or some other derp we know nothing about prevents them from fixing it.

So maybe it's something some single dev can sit through a single evening to fix, or there may be other things surrounding it. We are not them and we are not there to see what's going on. That's why I usually give a little benefit of the doubt. But really, can't block the sun with my palm on this one.

As a quick idea, if they can't fix it properly for now, a workaround would be to include in the outfit's page a bunch of detailed pictures or youtube videos (like they did with the hair) for every race and gender until the dressing room can be fixed. And let me stress again. This should be seen as only a temporary workaround. But even the player base can help with this one. Just gift something to some players with youtube channels and they can do the videos for it (or gift nothing and they will still do it under the banner of a better Tera :D ). I'm sure you can still find players with characters of all genders and races and divide the work with them...

    Though I admire your optimism....

I was just in EU's client and checked out their dressing room. You can't even compare it to ours the difference is staggering. They have everything.

So I can't be optimistic on this one and simply give them 'the benefit of the doubt.' Literally EU keeps a full, updated dressing room for their players while we have an embarrassing, incomplete mess its laughable. And so they can't make any claims or excuses for why our dressing room is a joke when compared to EU's.

Its ridiculous that I had to download an entirely separate game client for a different region JUST so that I could finally access a proper dressing room and be able to try out all the possible cosmetic items in the game. I know there are priorities, but a lot of players find something like the dressing room important. If EU can do it then there should be no excuse as to why ours isn't like there's as well. I say shame on EME in this regard.

I sent a ticket about this exact thing 4 years ago and got a "Thanks for bringing it to our attention! We're working on it!". I just wanted to make a brown elf. :(
Its not going to happen, just put it out of your mind.

My view differs from others in that I don't think EME is 100% composed of an "all evil group of people just wanting your money for a shoddy and lazy product". At least I don't place them as that when writing my posts. Like every place with many people working on it, there are good people, bad people, and a bunch of greys in between. Perhaps a bad apple is in charge of managing the stuff and they slow down the intentions of whoever wants to make things right in there. Or again, perhaps there's something we don't know preventing them from doing it. Though regardless, the result is the exact same in the end.

We here want the same thing. A fully updated DR that is maintained with the same enthusiasm as the newest cash shop shenanigans. It helps us decide what to get and it helps them to show what they have.

Other people finally understand the pain!

Seriously though, I find it ridiculous that you can make elves blue for crap's sake, but apparently a dark elf is crossing the line or whatever the hell.

Also agreed on the dressing room. It's a load of bollocks and has been for who knows how long.
