    Yea, another thread told me to go to the game file location and open it through there. It caused my launcher to patch and the game works now for me.

    The game launched through Steam for me without problem within the last hour ago, so it appears to be all clear now.

    This is a really old thread, but I also posted here about the same issue:

    It means you don't have the latest patch, so you either need to reinstall the launcher (steps in the link) or point to a different patch server (steps here).
