My Feedback and Opinion

I'm a relatively new player to this game but I have come to notice a few things. I feel that as a member of the community it is important to have opinions and critics towards this game know to the devs, if at all possible. I will outline them the best I can, given what I know. If you have information that says otherwise let me know.
  1. Optimization and/or removal of the leftover fluff from failed ventures by BHS and/or EME
  2. Removal of several rarely or never used dungeons and items. E.i. Ace Dungeons, Pit of Patarexs, Circlet Fragments, etc.
  3. A far less painful crafting system. It almost feels like they (BHS and/or EME) are trying to keep players by making that part of "completing the game" longer. Making a section longer and/or hard in a game to extend playtime is just cheap and a shame when you could put actual work into making something that adds to the story.
  4. The new gathering and fishing system also seems like an attempt to keep players around longer and possibly bring olds ones back
  5. Also the new cooking system makes like no sense. We had "food" that gave use meh to ok buffs. But why make a whole nother crafting section for something people rarely used, to begin with.
  6. On the note of bringing back players, the addition of apexs to the remainder of classes, including one that had been released not long ago, Brawler, which was going to get more work done on it. That to me seemed like a first attempt to get old players back too.
  7. A very biased and personal opinion, The Elin have far too many costumes and accessory options compared to the rest of the races. Not to mention that most costumes only look good on female characters (example, look at fashion ticket selection "Cloth").
If it is true that BHS and/or EME are trying to extend TERA life and/or revive TERA, I have one thing to say. All good things must end, even if they are your cash cow pre say. On that not, if TERA is a cash cow for other games. That would be beyond shameful in my eyes.

Just some replies to some of your points:
Concerning 2: Pit of Petrax is used for leaderboard, quite a few people do it for the mask reward. Stuff like circlet fragments definitely need the boot though.

Concerning 5: This is where your "newness" that you mentioned shows. Certain food buffs are great. Food gets used all of the time. Lamb Bulgogi is probably the best example of that (and feast, since that includes lamb bulgogi and other stuff on top of that). You might not be seeing many food items consumed because you're not running with people who are willing to waste them on random lower tier dungeons and/or in pick up groups.

The truth is that this game is turning into a very different thing from the Tera i liked and was actively playing from 2015~2017.
Imho there's WAY more serious problems now with the game than back in VM days patch...
Prob they completely changed the development team back on 2017 gear revamp or HO patch and the new devs got a very different mindset about where the game should go, they are really making Tera into a 100% grinding/farming simulator since gear revamp..
You guys can read more in the Eu feedback sub-forum about the new super grindy lv 70 content, it's just sad but i really think by then lots of ppl will lose interest for this game and prob by 2019 player pop will decrease even more...
In short, this developer is making a terrible mistake thinking that more grindy can extend the life of a game that lacks new relevant endgame content since ages..

Since BHS has played out the whole "lets just add another gear level to keep them busy" and "lets revamp the whole system to make them start over to keep them busy," they have no other choice than to do things like Apex and level 70. There are loads of players in the game that focus solely on grinding to the end. This is mostly all for them, and I don't think the rest of us will be forced to do the grindy stuff if we don't want to. However, we can't say that just because we don't want to grind, they should not allow others to.

Whatever they're doing, it's working. Just look at the prices in the broker. People are coming back and many are staying. Most of your comments are about them doing things to keep players and to bring old players back. Well, isn't that what they are supposed to be doing? Crafting is easier than before, cooking is neat, and you can pick what you want and don't want to do. I like that we can cook without that being centered around Rootstock. They really have made everything pretty easy if you just take the time and ask questions. There are even guides about the new content that can help you out.

    - Pit of petrarx is done by quite a few players and has some relevance for the game.
    - I agree about the crafting system. Its much pricier now, and apparently more irritating to advance to artisan/master than it was before. Though the production points regen improved, its still severely limiting.
    - The food buffs that existed before and still do are very good. Feasts pretty much have all the good ones in it and the cooking system just now allows you to pretty much make those same foods/feasts but at a cost.
    - I agree that there are way too many Elin cosmetics compared to other races and they should stop that.
    - And I'm surprised you haven't complained about how grindy, expensive, and ridiculous the gearing system is. Maybe you haven't reached frostmetal or storm cry yet.
