Flying mounts flying duration too short?

Does anyone else find the whole flying duration of mounts a bit too short? With slip stream you only seems to get around of 8 seconds flying time on a tulpar mount and probably a bit more on an argo or hellwing. While just flying normal speed its more close to around 35 seconds. So im curious if their gonna plan on adding a longer flying mount duration in the future that would be atleast 2-3 times longer than current one? or even better just get rid of this ugly flight bar especially if their going to open up more flying areas in the future which could save players time for older hunting world bosses or doing tours of duty quest achievements! What do you guys think?

  • Yes please. Why have flying mounts if you're going to limit us so heavily? If you must limit it, I'd say give us a solid 5 minutes of airtime at least.
  • There should be no flying duration at all. I can understand only a duration to go faster(shift button).

Personally I'd prefer unlimited flight time and use the recharge for the boost only, and even spending the charge bar when boosting, it wouldn't force a landing. Just slow to normal speed until it charges back, though it would charge slower while in air. Still, no idea why they even added essentially a flight timer. Game already has a flight ceiling anyway and landings are already forced when flying into no fly zones.
  • B-but! think of the horses and the lions! they need rest too! (lel)

OT: I agree it should be increased to last a little bit more.
  • aion is a whole different case. there, flight is a big part of the game, in combat and gathering and stuff like that. here, its just for views. shouldnt be limited at all
  • My thinking is that if there was no time limit on flying, then you could just escape any potential pker you see coming your way on a pvp server, leaving you to just hover in the air until they clear off or casually fly off to the nearest safezone without worry, whereas with the timer you're forced to land which still gives opportunity for them to attack you.

because even now we can just fly to town or to a lake or river, so even with limit time it is easy to run away from pker

Every old game you have can afford to have unlimited flight as back then this was no mater of monetarization. Now look at e.g. BnS (you glide with your character only instead of fly on a mount), you start off with little flight duration only and the devs put extensions after a while.

I wish we had gliding here ... that was one of the few reasons to play BnS
  • they make it limited now so they can add unlimited flying mount in RNG box later
    its all about money $$$

Yeh, and the questline in Lumbertown was removed because of the ERPers in CH :^)

well if i remember you need to be at least level 60 to do the quest to get your flying mount :)

Well, I'm fine with that. They need to make money and must not step on any P2W landmines. A permanent flying mount would not give you a game advantage.

Pkers are not really an issue in this game. The entire leveling and progression in this game all revolves around instances grind. And what happens when you reach lv 65? You either revolve your self around dungeons and doing bgs while afking in the safe zone or doing IoD dailies which are also in a safe zone.
The only pk action that i ever see in this game is either a*sholes randomly trying to kill you in velika arena and then swimming into river so that no one can touch them. Or if you go outside a lumbertown bridge and see outlaws the moment you start attacking them, everyone ganks at you and they kill you in 5 seconds.

Having a permanent or longer duration flying mount in the future would not only make it much easier to do your achivements like tours of duty quests, puzzlement monuments or hunting world bams, but it being able to have much faster travel speed will make it much more enjoyable for players to just want to cruise around and explore the world and old areas that no one even steps a foot into.

i answer to crashira, now i agree than a good pker should stealth his target to avoid he run away
