Account Bound Totes Now Expires?

Had a new brawler, added Totes and now, he shows he expires in a year. Does the tab expire to? Anyone know what is happening with these storage pets?

  • They did it so people couldn't exploit to get Partners. Seeing how you can now equip multiple Totes pets. You could, in theory, merge them to get a new pet or Partner. Sucks but alas, that's the way it is now.

You cannot do that with the account bound Totes. If you add them to your companion list they cant be used as fooder to combine them with other pets to get a companion.

Also, the Totes and Cheeks companions, while it doesn't state it anywhere, was confirmed by @Rox that once they expire, you can re-claim. It's an unfortunate work-around of the new system, but your account-bound pet will not actually permanently expire.

Also, with the way pet storage was changed around now, I don't think you will actually lose the storage itself. When you learn the skill in the first place, it basically unlocks a new pet bank slot (which you can now access from a banker). So even if your actual pet expires, the storage slot is permanently unlocked on the character.

    That's not so bad then.

I sure hope so as that would blow to lose everything on that tab for any new alts. I really hope they continue to let us access that slot from the banker as that is really nice to have.

BTW, I tried on my brawler (going to delete her soon anyways) and adding more totes from item claim does add slots. So, there's that. Not sure if they are going to fix it or what or just let people that bought account bound storage max out their slots muahahahaha.

If you bothered to read, what I said you would see that's exactly what I said * Face palm* Like I said, They made it this way so people COULDNT exploit the fact that you could stack them. That, is why they are time limited.
