OP is making tera's upcoming community stronger. If a low lvl player literally rage quits the game from getting pked 2x then they're definitely gonna wash out of the game when they hit lvl 65 anyways so np
  • Why should anyone else be responsible for your poor decision making? Basically you are complaining because you feel that people should live up to your standard in how a game ought to be played. Why in the world would you think anyone would accept that?

Preach my brother your speech brought a tear to my eye =)

I've edited more than a couple posts that include player names/callouts.

PKing is part of TERA life on PvP servers, so I want to believe there's an actual conversation here. PKing can happen without turning into harassment. Please keep the conversation on topic and try to have fun with it. DO NOT let this discussion become a topic of player harassment. On the flip side, if you're offended that players are killing lower level characters, please don't use this as a platform to, in turn, harass those who enjoy playing that way.
  • @Spacecats come on man those were barely call outs you're spoiling the thread.

Lol, this kid is back, trying to get attention on the forums again. With school out for summer, he has more time to play, and not enough noobs to grief, I suppose.

The best thing to do against PKers like him, is to change channels, and/or move to a different area, and ignore them. Under no circumstances should you say so much as a word to them.

They are losers who feed on people getting angry. Simply pay chump change to the cleric, get your stamina back, and get back to leveling, and you will have lost a minute of your time, and he will not get any of the sick satisfaction that he craves.

    PKing is for the weak.

    Well, let him be.
Fully level + fully equipped hunting lowbies while complaining about PKer racism in forum.
Actually, why would lowbies read the forum about the game they freshly download and played?

I'll admit that I sometimes feel like going out and looking for some poor lowbie to bully although I usually go after ones that are already flagged to avoid getting infamy. I use plague to kill them so they can slowly watch their health tick down and nothing can be done to stop it.

I love killing the flagged ones. It's like reminding them that there's always someone out there bigger than them. And technically, you're protecting the other ones.

Antipkers don't protect lowbies. They think they do but they don't. Really all they can do is hope the PKer doesn't notice them in time to kill them before PKer can get away. Once a PKer is aware of anti-pkers in the area, he will just move on to a new set of lowbies. While the anti-pker is talking trash in text to the pker, the pker is just killing more lowbies somewhere else, and the anti-pker is just looking stupid waiting for the pker to come back where they first found them.

The whole time while the anti-pker is around, the pker is just watching text of silly insults that anti-pkers use so they hope they will bring pker back to them but it doesn't work. Eventually anti-pker gets bored because their tactics don't work and pker just returns and kills lowbies. :D

Not always. One time I kept killing these two gankers that wouldn't let people level...and they didn't go away. So for a whole hour, they were looking for a helpless lowbie until bam, me.

Lately I've been trying not to kill PKers unless they're ganking. I don't care if someone is PVPing someone within a fair level range, but if I see a noob lvl 58 reaper killing 20s....yeah, I'm gonna kill'em. I don't whisper them, usually just say "rekt" and "get to 65 first before you pk". I love fair pvp and I just think that ganking is what keeps a lot of people away.... it was a miracle these two kept staying llike jeez it was a battle of who got bored first and eventually I went to bed lel. Saw some other 65 so I think they continued my legacy :,)

Are people actually complaining this much about PKers?

Man PKing and getting PK'ed in Tera has so little impact that I don't even know why people make such a fuss about it.

    1. First of all, unless this is your first MMORPG you should know by now that coming to a PvP server is pretty much agreeing to getting PK'ed by high levels during your leveling phase.
    2. Secondly, being killed has nearly no penalty. You don't lose XP, no gold and no items (besides the abundant and cheap crystals ; cruxes are like what 15g? if you're wearing niveots then you're level 65 and using a crystalbind anyway).
    3. It takes literally 5 seconds to change channels and most PKers don't bother changing channels because there are so few people in the open world that you're not likely to find anyone on any other channel than channel 1.
    4. Leveling nowadays is a joke and when you hit level 20 you can do it entirely through dungeons and never encounter an outlaw again.

So basically there are very simple and efficient ways not to get PK'ed, and even if you do get PK'ed it's barely an inconvenience.

I mean, on the first MMO I played, people could camp the entrance to dungeons and completely bar the access to leveling zones from new players, assassins could go invisible until you dropped a rare item, then PK you and protect the entrance to the area for 5 minutes until the item unbinds (becomes available to loot for everyone), the endgame farming zones weren't safe like IoD is, there was actually some PK going on to claim a farming spot sometimes, and you had to restart the client to change channels.
Oh and also you could lose days (yes, days) of farming skill points if you didn't swipe for some one-use P2W item that prevent death penalties. Because you'd lose about 5% of your XP and skill points, and some people would actually farm those for weeks before using them (in anticipation for higher level skills).

If you think you have it bad because you risk losing a pounding concach if you don't want to take five seconds of your life to go to channel 2 in the few PvP zones of the game, then you shouldn't be on a PvP server in the first place.

You don't lose crystals when killed by another player unless you already have outlaw on and are a PKer yourself. Any type of crystalbind completely circumvents crystal loss though. As an unflagged player, literally all you lose is a few minutes of your time, to retravel, and a few minutes (or a few gold/silver/bronze) to restore stamina and hp
