Ninja after nerf: Abandon CoS?

I'm currently running CoS build and I love using CoS. It's the reason why I play Ninja, because the animation is so unique. However, after the nerf of CoS base damage by 20%....... Should I still keep CoS build? How much better would DC build be compared to nerfed CoS?

After CoS and auto-attack nerf. KTERA players seem to prioritize burning heart and double cut resets. CoS is likely to be got rid of from their rotation.
  • I think CoS may still be needed in your rotation because we lack the talents that increase Chi generation and burning heart damage. We won't knoiw for sure until it's tested.

I think a nerf that makes players abandon a skill out of like 4 main skills is a pretty big failure...

I think basing all your knowledge about a class from what you heard from koreans is a pretty big failure

BHS said that they [filtered] up with the CoS nerf and are thinking about fixing it at a later time. Until then its Double Cut > Skyfall until the end of time.

I doubt CoS makes much of a difference for chi regen over time (though I could be wrong), so I'll probably go back to the DC reset build I was using before, but don't base builds off of what Koreans are using. Their ninjas are way different and have other options to help their damage because talents are huge for them. We don't have anything like that.

BHS said that? Link that I could look at?

It was in Idi0ticGenius' translations of the BHS Q&A, developer comments, and talk about future class balancing/content.

I tried a double cut reset rotation but for the time I tested the thing resetted like two times, and I ran a whole session that day. Sue my luck. So I abandoned it for the CoS rotation. Or well, MY version of a CoS rotation that I use to run IoD.

Did you get the double cut reset glyph that changes the chance from 25% to 50%? It's an uncommon glyph, not a rare glyph so it's from the vanguard shop/Marcelarious and Sabex.

    These should be your glyphs:

The only thing that could be better post-nerf is taking the CDR off of Circle of Steel and putting it on Double Cut, but currently there is an emphasis on a perfectly timed rotation rather than using double cut as much as possible.

You should not be using CDR on Attunement. You can cancel Attunement with your iframes and get the speed cast without putting it on cooldown. Skill damage on Combo Attack is a much better option.

Friendly reminder that you dont need attack speed glyph or rolls on ninja since you wont notice a difference from not having it

Oh, I do have the 50% version. Still. My luck..... Anyway. I'm not ultra min maxing like you pros. #Derp-life :3

What kind of rotation are you pulling off as it's perfectly timed?

With the glyph proc'd, lamb, estars, rootbeer I can use jagged into 3 fire avalanches and all of them hit with the powerlink. It can make a difference.
