Spell binds, any way to farm these?

Another Wednesday goes by and I still don't have 6% damage line on my BP.

I farm dailys on two toons each week for the 100 each tier 9 spell binds and it's not enough. My dice are awful in dungeons, I never walk away with spell binds of any kind. I'm so not spending the 83 gold per on Tempest Reach in Trade broker.

This one line is [filtered] vexing me - it's all I need for my tier 9 set to be "done". Is real life cash really the only way to gain these? I'm so [filtered] sick of gambling in my gaming experience. Koreans have a seriously addiction problem and I want it out of our version of the game. Gambling is not content, just so you know.

  • Fast easy dungeons, or alts, lots of them, for weekly reward. Spellbinds have never been so easy to get than now.

On top of doing SSNM and DFNM for T9 drops/vanguard, you can amass T8 spellbinds from KC / AB / CW and convert them into T9 at 6:1 ratio.

Maybe it's not that efficient, on top of the above, the low tier BAM quests in IoD reward undershade tokens, you can exchange them for t8 spellbinds at at 1:1 rate, a sinlge character will give you 20 t9 spellbinds this way, it isn't much but I guess it's better than nothing.

Dude, just buy a [filtered] ton of MES and just reset stats till u get it. I did this with all my gear and i have perf rolls on everything, much cheaper than buying Spellbinds, but takes a while.

That's easy on boots and gloves, but gets a bit harder on weapon and body armor (and this last one is a pain with the skill roll).
I tried using common enigmatic scrolls to roll my sf axe, and then use a noble scroll while binding all. Guess what? It got master worked at 696 tries, and never got all 5 rolls I wanted in it.

Forget Spellbind Just Use Scrolls to Reset Stats 1/20 times you get what you need. Not that Expensive.

Idk where you're getting your math from but

Weapon: ~0.076% chance of perfect stats
Chest: ~0.03% chance of perfect stats
Gloves (new): ~2.86% chance of perfect stats
Boots: ~2.86% chance of perfect stats

Your best chances of getting what you want (gloves/boots) are 1/35, which is lower than chance to masterwork. While it's more cost-efficient for gloves and boots, you can't do that for everything.

I think he's going for "every yellow line is fine" while you go for specific lines you need, e.g. crit factor.

As mentioned, the easiest way is to farm T8 spellbind via vanguard and convert it. The red tokens used for T8 spellbind come from measly lvl65 basilisks and is done very fast.

  • My point was, if you need 600+ mes and intrincates, then that's not cheap. Not with bad RNG. Totally hellish.

Something like this is what I wanted to point out, but was lazy to do the math.

Just have to farm quick vanguard on lot's of toon for this, spam reaper if you need to. Only spend them to lock on chest skill line and weapon top line if you don't have much to spare. Rolling the 3 perfect lines on bottom isn't that hard as people thought it would, since they can be in any order (yes Kwonie, your math is wrong).
At least getting spellbind is easier this patch because of the weekly reward.

Thank you for the helpful responses :) I hadn't considered just rolling all the effects w/ out spell binds. This is the first time I've had this kind of issue with an effect line. I've amassed a few hundred intricate ID scrolls which would help with the cost.
