    Cool. Another reason to which it feels like I'm wasting my time with this game (another dedicated pad player here).

    I really am going insane. I keep thinking this game can redeem itself for me but it keeps proving me wrong...

    Can confirm this is broken on my end as well and the above ini tweak didn't work for me :c

    This is a confirmed issue on EU as well, and it is believed that there are 2 default bindings for controller buttons in the S1Input.ini file that are causing this that need to be deleted.

    Yeah, X and Y appear to be bound to fly and walk commands, respectively.

    Those with this issue could try deleting these lines in S1Input.ini, which is located in \En Masse Entertainment\Launcher\tera\S1Game\Config

    thanks man, you saved me, dont forget to check Read Only on properties to prevent another surprise!

    This fixed it for me, forgot to check readonly haha :D

    Mine still isn't working even after un-checking read only, deleting the two lines and re-checking read only. I don't know what I am doing wrong

  • Suggested fix is not working for me either. X button still not registering u ^ u

  • After the 64-bit update the gamepad stopped working Y and X does anyone know how to fix this?

    It didn't work for me either at first. Then I found out why. I have 2 controllers connected and for some reason the solution works only when I use the one that attaches as 2nd. So I need to turn both on and the second works fine. Then I can turn the 1st one off and it's still ok. I don't know why, I'll need to dig into this later but maybe it's similar in your case? Try searching in this area.

  • So I read on the EU forums that someone found a workaround using x360ce, but he failed to explain how. Does anyone here have worked something out?

  • I can confirm that connecting two game controllers is a possible work around. The second game controller will function properly. The X and Y buttons will work. You can also turn off the first game controller after the game has detected both of them.

    I realize that many people don't have two game controllers and that what worked for me might not work for you. My brother and I both got this to work on Windows 7 54-bit with an Asus Core i7 mainboard and USB 2.0.

  • Here is a virtual game controller driver that you can use if you have only a single game controller.

    Virtual Controller <== Click

    Install the software and create one virtual xBox controller. You don't have to bind the virtual controller to anything (keyboard/mouse...). Start the virtual controller application first and let Tera detect the controller. Then turn on your real game controller. Your real game controller will be detected as the second one. The X and Y buttons should work on your real controller. You can minimize the virtual controller application to the system tray to remove it from the task bar and leave it running.

    I did this using x360ce instead and can confirm it works.

  • None of the solutions here worked for me. I guess I picked a bad time to come back to the game. Hopefully its fixed soon.

    For those who dont work this solution like me, just change
    Bindings=(Name="XboxTypeS_X",Command="Fly")
    Bindings=(Name="XboxTypeS_Y",Command="Walk")

    for
    Bindings=(Name="XboxTypeS_LT",Command="Fly")
    Bindings=(Name="XboxTypeS_RT",Command="Walk")

    You can use all the buttons normally but you cant use LT and RT as left click and right click on the menu, outside of this they are completely usable
