Is this event only for the super rich ingame?
Im from Highwatch and there is almost no1 selling emp, plus in the trade chat there is people askingg to buy 500k emp, 1 millon emp for 1:40 rates and it is imposible for the little player or the new player to compete with that
My luck so far:
30 keys from cs + 30 keys i bought in chat and i got 0 jackpots
is it like this in all the other servers?

yes i know that this must be the most efficient way to get gold with this event but it looks like a really fun event to participate in
after all gold is a mean to an end, if you have tons of it you could fully enjoy this event if you dont have a tons of it you have to try to make gold from the event by selling keys but not play it at all, and thats why i said before that it is hard for the little player to fully enjoy this event
These events happen every few months so if you seriously want to win one you need to constantly farm corsairs on multiple characters and or check broker everyday for cheap keys.
About emp, that depends mostly on seller. If he wants to sell it all in one go to the rich players, instead to spend time selling in small amounts to help the non rich players, well... like, not his fault, nor yours. .___.

It's still a huge injection of some materials that are always in demand (alkahests) which would lower the prices, so newer or unprepared players who don't have a lot of keys or money for keys still can buy some alk at a cheaper price than normal for personal use or to resell later on when prices start going up again.
Those players may also have some keys from the occasional or daily CS they might have done, which they can sell now for a much better rate than usual, and rebuy those keys later on if they wish at a lower price, and possibly continue farming them for the next strongbox key event, and by then they could be more prepared.
The smart dyads might also make fine niveots go up in price, so those players can profit by selling the crystals earned through VG credits and crystal boxes.
I'm kind of in the middle. I definitely have the in-game gold and time to farm and buy lots of keys in advance, but I don't because I don't like playing the market and I'm too lazy for CS, so instead I just stock up on the alkahests or whatever materials from the broker whenever an event like this one drops, and save them for my own use.
And just in case you did miss it: EME just gave out free costumes until today by either logging in or paying 6000 vanguard or 75k KS. These costumes were free giveaways. I have like 10 of them and cant even wear them as I dont need 10.
And for the DYEABLE ones: these are RARE costumes. They are not meant to be worn be everybody and this comes with a price. Usually the rare costumes go for $50-60+. Today the prices are just at 150k, which is ratio 1:40 just some $40. They are cheap right now.
Besides that, this event let's you get the costumes also without real cash by preparing strongbox keys (sea chests, emporium-credits, etc.).

Meaning, is not for the little player, who didn't/couldn't prepare, nor the newbie, who didn't have time to prepare. Which was the OPs claim. Or at least what I understood of it. I still wonder if the dyeable versions will be added to their own loot box and set for sale later on the cash shop like any other rng box, OR they are exclusive to this event only and anyone not getting them will be forever barred from them, OR set for another event who knows when. I personally have no keys and won't participate at all on this event because of poor irl and in game. So I don't complain and have no right to complain anyway.
