  • Happy two year TERA anniversary =)

I've only been playing for about 14 months, but I don't have any screenshots. Graphics preset of 0 on my potato... screenshots would be ugly anyway. :(

You should absolutely start to make screenshots. I'm going with the thesis that there's "real life" only, means that my experience winning a martial arts competition has the same value as winning the first Kumasylum against OP kumas.

My first screenshots (dont have them on this PC) are from the EU Tera event where game masters spawned bosses outside Lumbertown. I still take photos of jackpots I win as well as funny chats or situations. A new costume, a funny pet name.
  • @SaphirKanzaki well real life has better graphics than TERA on my PC... though honestly the RNG is about the same. I've put a bit of time and money into customizing some of my characters and giving them different costumes and such, and I'd like to show them off, but I don't think 0 graphics do them any justice. I'm kind of curious to see if my PC will be able to run TERA at max graphics settings..? Sure it would drop me down to 0 fps, but as long as I'm able to at least take still screenshots, that would be cool.
  • I'm at about 3 to 3.5 years since i started playing and I've kinda been on and off ever since. Started back on TR on my priest and server transferred to MT after some of my friends started playing after they went F2P. Eventually we all quit again and went to play other games but i keep coming back for each patch for some reason. Reaper patch i wasn't too interested. Played for a bit but eventually left again. Gunner patch friends decided to come back again. Rolled a lancer at this point and played for a while but we all quit again. Brawler patch me and one of my friends came back but again didn't last long. Then on the ninja patch save friend of mine decides to play again for the new class and i figured i would join him and he got to 65 and quit. But I stuck around this time. I've logged nearly 2 weeks of playtime on my ninja now. With a +15 SF weapon planning on heading to Imp gear and found a nice guild to hang out with. It's strange looking back. Seeing how different the game is now compared to then. Thinking back to my old guild and remembering my old friends. We were a Mystic, Priest and a Lancer and everyday we would get on and do some dungeons or group up and kill some mobs and talk for a bit. We always made sure to not level without the others so we could all level together and just hang out. But eventually I couldn't play for a while and when I came back to the game they had quit. After that I kinda lost my motivation to play anymore. I doubt anyone will actually read all of this wall of text and I wish I had a screenshot of back then to show you guys but i'm pretty sure I lost all of them. But it's weird thinking back to the beginning and thinking about all the things that have changed, thinking about all the people you have met, and the people you may never meet again.
  • Happy Tera anniversary!

Mine would probably fall somewhere around september, since that's where my earliest screenshots are from - 2013 to be specific. One of my best IRL friends were playing TERA and posting screenshots of it on their blog, and I got interested and wanted to try it too. I was really scared at first since I had never played an MMORPG before or really any online multiplayer games. I tried a couple of classes before finally settling for archer, figuring that a ranged class would probably be good for a beginner like me. I wasn't really planning on making an elin originally (not that I was opposed to them, they just weren't my no. 1 choice), but then I played around with the character creation and came up with something I really liked, and thus my first proper character was born:

I've since made lots and lots of other characters of different classes, but she's still my main and the one I play most regularly by far, not to mention the one I like the most. She's my baby <3

Here she is with the above-mentioned friend's main:

We've both taken little breaks from the game every now and then for a variety of reasons - computer issues, boredom, other games, health issues - but have so far always come back, and we still play together pretty much every day! My friend's sister also plays, and they've made lots of great friends through the game who I have also had the privilege of getting to know thanks to them (I'm a social potato myself and awful at making friends). We've done lots of fun stuff together, but the thing I probably miss the most is the exploration trips we used to do after Nexus, where someone in the raid would show the rest how to get into weird off-map places you weren't supposed to get to. But with the discontinuation of Nexus (it's kind of hard to get everyone together in one place at one time) and the introduction of lethal fall damage, we haven't been really able to do that anymore. And then there's of course the fact that a lot of people have quit or are taking a break, so...getting enough people together even for regular stuff like dungeon runs is very difficult these days. Some people did come back with the return of Wonderholme though, and running it with them has been very fun, almost like the good old days!

Happy birthday and stuff. Sadly, I deleted all my previous characters. Main was a zerker with the black horse and 280 speed black panther that I made when Tera was just released after OBT. Pictures also got the same fate so I have absolutely nothing to tell anyone that I played Tera when it released and know how it was back then. oh well. Regrets bring sadness, so no regrets.

Oddly enough, the guild I made back then and gave to a friend who also quit long ago still exists. It's name is Derpy. :p
Can't access it because it was an alt guide and as I said, friend who had it left the game too.

Happy two year anniversary~ Hope you had a good two years. Unfortunately I don't have old screenshots on this computer nor do I know when I started. I just remember my close friend starting towards the end of a September 2 years ago or so. Since then we've had a lot of fun doing various things around Tera.

No, I read the whole thing and I feel that. I come and go from tera myself, but I never leave for good...My friends however, did.
  • I've been playing Tera since December 2013, so I'm slightly older than you :pleased:

Similarly, I chronicle pretty much everything. Example A, my first ever Character I got past level 20:

    kKVwxfR.jpg

And that same character, at level 60, in her Steadfast gear:

    eHLzba8.jpg

She has long since been retired... been level 63 for over a year, as I don't enjoy Lancer anymore. Nowadays I tend to take a lot of selfies, whether simple screenshots:

    K2xPAFM.jpg

    Or filtered for Instagram:

    3p2rpBk.jpg

My 2 1/2 years in Tera have been... something, to say the least. I've had friends quit, friends betray and friends just downright not grace my presence any longer. Some of them even still play. Most don't.

If anyone that reads is/was from AV, you may remember Eterna. It's unlikely, but you MIGHT even remember Nothing Vulgar. between those two guilds I had well over 30 people I could call true friends. to my knowledge, none of them are still around. But that's the nature of an mmo. People come and go as new games arise. Hell, even I took breaks. the longest being the most recent; quit in October, came back for Ninja, and I'm enjoying the game as much as I always have. And of course, I make new friends, but I'll always miss the good times I've had.
