My two year Tera anniversary was on the 16th or so
To celebrate I wanna post some of my early screenshots...with friends that have long quit
Reminiscing thread, post some of the oldest screenies in your folder ready set go
My first ever screenshot: (my elins used to be ugly)

My irl friends that don't play anymore

I didn't know how to hide the UI until I got to like lvl 30 lol:

I think I figured it out here:

Lvl 40-ish, new priest, new server chilling with best Tera bud for 2 yrs:

Yep, these are all from 2014. I can't believe it, t be honest... I've never stuck with an online game for this long
So yeah everyone post your old screenshots from waaaay back

I've only been playing for about 14 months, but I don't have any screenshots. Graphics preset of 0 on my potato... screenshots would be ugly anyway.
Whew, its been awhile
You should absolutely start to make screenshots. I'm going with the thesis that there's "real life" only, means that my experience winning a martial arts competition has the same value as winning the first Kumasylum against OP kumas.
My first screenshots (dont have them on this PC) are from the EU Tera event where game masters spawned bosses outside Lumbertown. I still take photos of jackpots I win as well as funny chats or situations. A new costume, a funny pet name.
Mine would probably fall somewhere around september, since that's where my earliest screenshots are from - 2013 to be specific. One of my best IRL friends were playing TERA and posting screenshots of it on their blog, and I got interested and wanted to try it too. I was really scared at first since I had never played an MMORPG before or really any online multiplayer games. I tried a couple of classes before finally settling for archer, figuring that a ranged class would probably be good for a beginner like me. I wasn't really planning on making an elin originally (not that I was opposed to them, they just weren't my no. 1 choice), but then I played around with the character creation and came up with something I really liked, and thus my first proper character was born:
I've since made lots and lots of other characters of different classes, but she's still my main and the one I play most regularly by far, not to mention the one I like the most. She's my baby
Here she is with the above-mentioned friend's main:
We've both taken little breaks from the game every now and then for a variety of reasons - computer issues, boredom, other games, health issues - but have so far always come back, and we still play together pretty much every day! My friend's sister also plays, and they've made lots of great friends through the game who I have also had the privilege of getting to know thanks to them (I'm a social potato myself and awful at making friends). We've done lots of fun stuff together, but the thing I probably miss the most is the exploration trips we used to do after Nexus, where someone in the raid would show the rest how to get into weird off-map places you weren't supposed to get to. But with the discontinuation of Nexus (it's kind of hard to get everyone together in one place at one time) and the introduction of lethal fall damage, we haven't been really able to do that anymore. And then there's of course the fact that a lot of people have quit or are taking a break, so...getting enough people together even for regular stuff like dungeon runs is very difficult these days. Some people did come back with the return of Wonderholme though, and running it with them has been very fun, almost like the good old days!
Oddly enough, the guild I made back then and gave to a friend who also quit long ago still exists. It's name is Derpy.
Can't access it because it was an alt guide and as I said, friend who had it left the game too.
No, I read the whole thing and I feel that. I come and go from tera myself, but I never leave for good...My friends however, did.
Similarly, I chronicle pretty much everything. Example A, my first ever Character I got past level 20:
And that same character, at level 60, in her Steadfast gear:
She has long since been retired... been level 63 for over a year, as I don't enjoy Lancer anymore. Nowadays I tend to take a lot of selfies, whether simple screenshots:
Or filtered for Instagram:
My 2 1/2 years in Tera have been... something, to say the least. I've had friends quit, friends betray and friends just downright not grace my presence any longer. Some of them even still play. Most don't.
If anyone that reads is/was from AV, you may remember Eterna. It's unlikely, but you MIGHT even remember Nothing Vulgar. between those two guilds I had well over 30 people I could call true friends. to my knowledge, none of them are still around. But that's the nature of an mmo. People come and go as new games arise. Hell, even I took breaks. the longest being the most recent; quit in October, came back for Ninja, and I'm enjoying the game as much as I always have. And of course, I make new friends, but I'll always miss the good times I've had.
