Hi so today i got a lot of salt from a player I have never seen before and I was wondering if this game have some kind time off for toxic players ? or punishment like a 10 min time out or anything like that. this is not the first time this happens to me do we have any way to avoid people that are not in your friend list to /w you or something like that. This is the full conversation.

Take in mind i was typing back to him in a fwc so i was moving and fighting at the same time.

< I deleted all the images but the he was just been super salty and cursing left and right>

So any way we can avoid this like having a only friends /w us or a report button ?

    Call-outs aren't allowed on forums. You have to resolve the issue privately with the person or simply submit a ticket to report them.

    It is, and there's nothing you can do beyond blocking/ignoring them, and reporting them if you feel what they did was excessive.

    Report like every person should and move on. This happens on an every day basis. We don't need a forum post of every single complaint of bad human beings. It gets old.

    To make your reports effective on the website make sure you also state the name of the server and report around what time it has happened to save time on their end. The more effort (and less typos) the more they will take your report seriously.

    Thanks I dident wanna complain about that person I want to know if there is anything we as a community can do to stop it and make a better gaming experience for our players . like a report button or a only friends wisper like privacy setting. reporting that one player wont do much if it keeps happening why attacking the symptoms when you can prevent it

    If one player becomes salty to many people, then gets reported once by each of these multiple victims, it MAY prompt a bit faster action by staff to do disciplinary action against the person. One on one disputes are common, but when one guy gets reported by numerous individuals, moderation may come with a bit more priority. That is, if the system is working. But yeah, as an individual, report is the current only option. And if you report multiple times for the same incident, it may be you who gets the moderation. So keep it to one report per incident.

    There's already a report button when you right click on their name!

    And although having a friend-only whisper option would be convenient for some, you're also limiting all the non-toxic players who would want to converse with you! And I like to believe there's significantly more nice players than toxic ones :)

    Blocking is two-clicks away and it pretty much resolves the issue. Toxicity always exists and I think the way the system is now, it's the most efficient way to deal with it. Otherwise, it's just the community being like..90% adolescent males where most of those are competitive, you're bound to get that toxicity...

    You can play League of Legends and you'll see that Tera toxicity is just Hello Kitty Online compared to League <3

    I know that, but if we take tera as a social game then you should have some privacy options for every kind of person like ,friend only. Example my gf stop playing tera cuz of the toxicity some players are just super toxic and they know they wont get any punishment for been toxic. So adding some options like ( friends only or having community council like lol would help the game a lot ) I know The toxicity lvs are lower in Tera than in lol that is why I dont play lol.

    You will inevitably encounter people like that everywhere you go. It's the truth sadly. The least you can do is ignore them or block, report, or submit a ticket if they went too far.

    People have to make it clear the behavior isn't acceptable for anything to really be done. Only reason Riot takes moderation for League of Legends seriously is because people made it clear they wouldn't play the game if nothing was done about it.

    because we are more numerous, while the winter we were less toxic, because less people played tera and since ninja patch our population has grew, so the toxic players who went to other mmorpg back to tera :3
