New player (from EU)

Hi all, i am downloading Tera now and i would like to ask few questions before i start playing.

1.Since i am from EU which server is best for ping/eu player base?
2.Which dps class is noob friendly?
Any tips are welcome

All the servers are based out of Chicago, so ping should be basically the same.

The most noob friendly DPS class is probably gunner.

Hello there-

Welcome to naTERA and i hope you enjoy it. i'm assuming you decided to play naTERA rather than euTERA because of certain rumors. whether it was a good choice or not, i can't say since i haven't played euTERA, but i hope you will enjoy it here. first to say, the ping issue will be prominent when you PvP, a bit lesser when in PvE, but relatively it will be the same regardless of the server. your best choice is to simply chose the server which fits you best: Mount Tyrannas (MT) for PvP and Tempest Reach (TR) for PvE- those two servers are most populated right now.

Regarding easy classes, Reaper, Gunner, Brawler, and Ninja are quite simple. out of those four, i would rate Reaper and Gunner to be the easiest to operate, though all classes are intricate in their own. Reaper and Gunner however have relatively shallow depth to the class compared to the other classes. Nevertheless, i read that you have chosen Berserker for a class. a good choice as well. choosing Popori? even better. Berserkers are a great class to master and once done, there is much to reap from the class. with the recent changes to the class as well it will definitely be relatively worthwhile. it may feel quite slow at start but it's combat movement speed does not lag behind other classes at all. the class can be quite the scare in PvP, as well as in PvE with its massive damages.

As a new player, i would definitely suggest you take your time leveling, and read through certain texts and logs. TERA has much to offer than portrayed, with a decent lore and storyline to follow. most of all, taking time leveling really helps you understand the class and emerge better as a player. later on at 65 is when the real game begins, but the leveling experience is one not to miss out on.

Once at 65, you can refer to other threads in this sub forum or go to the PvE forums to get notes on how to get geared, where to start, where to go, and what to end up with.

Thanks for detailed info

i picked Cellestial Hills server and i am enjoying story quests so far

i got to level 13 last night. Also i got a buddy up code which is quite nice and i am enjoying my popori zerker a lot

and i wont rush to level cap, i kinda like to do many quests and enjoy the leveling/learning the game itself.
I dont play pvp at all, and as for lag i have steady 150 ping. I tried EU tera for few hours and i had horrid lag over 300+ and spiking up and down from 65ms to even 1k....
