it seems I am missing something

Recently I started playing Tera (though I am mainly Lineage 2 C6 player ) , got to 35 lvl.

My class is Slayer as I completely forgot that in modern RPG if you want to avoid pain & suffer you should start with newer classes. I have yet to find korean RPG where bringing new classes did not break the balance.

What I did like is that doing quests feels awesome. I always took all possible quests & vanguard in areas as it is useful. Ability to solo 5p dungeon is great too (as 1p dungeons are joke) - no need to wait for complete team - and cleaning it solo make you feel like a boss. Also it gives some DS vibes with "roll + attack" tactics lol and those bonfires. Though speed decrease in combat annoys but I feel that there is a workaround for which I haven't found yet (as I haven't mastered skills and created a perfect flow for myself).

But playing there and there I feel that I miss something. Well ok you have mounts, you can do monster clean up, do quests, do dungeons, create armor & weapons & elixirs.

But is it really all?

P.S. Also it seems I have to buy a new mouse heh

I can't say that I fully understand your question, but TERA was never a leveling and exploring kind of game, or if it was now its not, you did not see anything from the game at lvl 35.
Level up to lvl 65 where you gain access to different PvP battlegrounds and can start the grind for gear to tackle the current Hardest dungeon in the game. Maybe do achivements or explore, fly with the mount or play dress up in one of the towns, join a guild and have fun with them.

The question is not regarding achieving max level - if I wanted i would have bought 60 lvl scroll lol - the question is regarding activities. It's a common knowlegde that in MMOs life is flowing on high levels.

I am asking whether I am missing something on my current level.

You aren't missing anything other than looking around for good views and achievements.

You are missing out the team play. With the current possibilities, it is possible to level all the way to 65 in 24h alone (see last level event, Ninja). However, your task during the level phase is to gain knowledge about your class. As Slayer, you are an agile back critter, utilizing knock-downs. Teamplay involves knowledge about moving with a tanked boss, evading boss attack mechanisms, even picking up motes or resurrecting someone during fight.

I haven't played Lineage, my MMO history before Tera was mainly World of Warcraft.

I kind of get what you mean based on my time there and here. You really can't judge content until you're level 65. Very few people five man dungeon low level content unless it's the first few weeks of a new class being introduced.

You're playing solo now and while that's fun, the real difficulty comes at 65 where five people are actually required.

I mainly played with multiple characters, multiboxing and etc. just in order to suffer and taste different things. My main goal is never leveling as I do not care.

I am playing in Tera for two days only so I haven't experienced a lot (just running and slay everything, picking every quest, die and etc.) and don't know a lot. For example while playing I build some weapons however for now I have no idea where they are good or not as I haven't learnt weapon rank yet.

Of course you can level up fast. It is the same everywhere.

There is even a term "endgame" content by which MMOs are judged.

    Thanks for answers.

That's true. I didn't use the word here because endgame dungeons (hard modes) are a different species of their own to level 65 dungeons in general. There's a big divide between how many people clear hard modes.

Edit: I hit post by mistake.

So if you're truly enjoying the combat system, know that it does get more difficult and interesting because of it. This game is rewarding to play if you play it well ;)

The weapons you're making are they the Avatar weapons from relics dropping? If so, then they're the good weapons that were added to make solo leveling easier. Although, the content you're experiencing now isn't the same as the content in the later levels and how you acquire gear isn't going to be the same either. The process from 1 to 65 has overtime been made to be simpler for people to get into the game.

Not sure if I understand you fully. The endgame in Tera consists of multiple layers.

Of course you can go into BiS (best in slot) gear hunting. This requires time, grinding, knowledge, the usual. The alternative offered here is that you can do anything you like which always yields gold. With gold, you can buy the gear you want.
Then there are the events; NA Tera permanently offers events you can participate in. Right now we have the strongbox jackpot, CM Spacecats spawned bosses in Val Orin yesterday (CH, was present in global for some hours, rezzed people, etc.), battlegrounds gave double credits last weekend.

One huge factor is cosmetics. I am myself a costume hoarder and my kind of endgame is collecting these (I still don’t have anything to wear).
Some people consider levelling as their main focus. Running a lvl 30 dungeon with lvl 25 friends, without healer and tank can be quite fun.

Tera also provides a mixed platform for casual gamers to participate. The most popular battleground “Corsairs Stronghold” (CS) is gear equalized so you just have to hit lvl 65 and hop in. I’m playing CS on multiple classes on weekends.
Tera always provides you with free starting gear (the actual is called “Dreadnaught”) which allows you to cover a whole range of dungeons and even some PvP.
I know a lot of players have at least one character lvl 65 of each class (personally I have >30) to play the class which is the most fun according to patch; e.g. sorcerer will get a revamp and buffed.
Being on the roleplay server Celestial Hills, some people consider RP as endgame.

The task of each player now is to find out the own current (shifting) interest and not only to cling to BiS gear.
