Should i buy etchings 2 for my gear vs saving for etching 3?

Im not the richest. Atm sitting at about 100k and they are currently at 160k per etching.

    ask yourself how long the gear will last and if you will be able to sell it when it's time to upgrade.

    generally just go etch 2s. ANY mid tier gear go etch 2s at MOST.
    vm gear depends on when you made it and if you can +15 it.

    For Starfall and Slaughter, Etch 2. For Imperator, Etch 3. For Dreadnaught, none or temp etchings. This is my opinion on what I'd do.

    I agree with Nopi here. thats whats im doing. Currently using +15 SW weapon with +12 Slaughter Armor. all with perm Etching II's even tho i have 2 Keen III's in my bank i dont want to use it on my SF weapon. i just dont feel its worth it to use it on atm.

    I second this. However, if you have Slaughter and are planning on getting a Starfall piece in that very slot you're about to etch, I would wait it out. No use spending money on something you're about to replace and can't liberate to resell.

    Agreed. Perm etchings only on gear you don't plan to replace in a long while. For anything else, temp etchings may not be the strongest, but give a nice buff. More if you can create them yourself easily. Wonder why temp etching doesn't at least give the same buff as the perm version. I mean, it's like a double injustice... But that's food for another thread.
