  • Okay I can get behind them both having same populations sure
But Highwatch is missing players of higher skill level...
All I see in HW are people coming then going..(Thus probably giving the impression it's "Healthy")
At endgame itself noone sticks around...And those that do are perfectly fine just doing DFNM/DFHM everyday with no aspirations of anything higher ..Shoot we went from 3 people having SSHM title to now two people(one of them has already started to transfer their characters to TR) ...Leaving the only person with title on server myself...all alone.
Everyday i'll spend 2-3-4 hours making a SSHM LFG only to hard carry them till last boss..And really it just makes me sad..

I don't want to play a game like this, I want more progressive endgame people..People willing to try...willing to get better and actually show improvement..But right now on highwatch..
    I am alone.

It was this server(I transfered from AV to HW) which really drove me to be a better player..It's where I truly improved and it has a special place in me..

However I can't stay here anymore, I've started to level up on TR while I wait for funds to transfer. It's sad watching friend after friend, guild after guild "git gud" then realize there's nothing here and leave for TR.

tell them not to go then jfc. or like. maybe add the people that are doing sshm to your friends and run with them each day so you don't have to "hard carry", then maybe bring a random noob each time. It's like people are asking for everyone on a relatively new server to be instantly granted godlike skill and ability to clear end game the moment they hit 65.

@Spacecats Thank you for your response. Are you sure your informations are up-to-date? How do you explain the comparision that Madolf posted in another thread? The population got pretty much decent at the beginning of ninja patch but only for a short time. An injection of players from VoT would still improve our community, Servers like VoT or AV need to be merged with anything anyways.

^ LFG for VoT, HW, TR, and MT earlier today. Pretty sad when someone on a server has to look for people to crossqueue with just to get sshm done.

While I'm not going to discuss the specifics about player population, I can tell you for a fact that Highwatch has very close to the same number of active people on other servers like Celestial Hills and Tempest Reach, and is considered quite healthy on our end. There are no plans for any server merges.

I think what Counterpoint said about self-perpetuating prophecies is true. When a discussion like "X server is dying" begins, it's an easy thing to catch on. Expectations change based off hearing it.

On a related topic, did you know item enchanting above level 10 is 3x more likely to be successful on the 23rd try?

    (well it's not)

You guys need to look at players as something more than just a statistic.

What makes you say this in a thread discussing server population and activity?

Tell them not to leave server? Uhh we did LOL
Add them to my friends list? b6d5e863a8.jpg (Most of those are alts aswell)
New server and want everyone to be godlike? Not at all, And well the server has been open over a year now(or just about a year) so i'd hardly call it new.
I don't expect anyone to be god tier or w/e, i'm surely not at that level. But bulk of people here are perfectly happy being low tier (kdhm/finm/dfnm/whnm) with an occasional dfhm content.

Do you play on highwatch? if so what's your ign.

Yeah but how about the more dead servers like valley of ghost town? Want to drop a depressing number to show us what we already know?

Sure, highwatch might not be as dead as other servers, but you're avoiding the problem at hand. It's hard to enjoy the game at its fullest when there's no one to play iwth.

Plis tell me that the population thing is a joke o.o

They're remarkably close in population and activity. I'm really really telling you the truth. For real.

I mean... I realize there are Highwatch players in this thread who aren't getting what they expect at various times of the day. Items you're trying to sell but you aren't getting anyone to buy them. Groups for certain dungeons (instance matching works across all servers, by the way) that you aren't getting. I'm glad some of you switched to other servers with a happy outcome, but there isn't much I can tell you that I haven't already.

    LETS IMS SSHM iight.

In all seriousness though, It's not about the number of population really...It's the quality and you know what they say Quality > Quantity.
We have hardly any quality anymore...Me, and some of the others in this thread have nurtured and bred alot of people on highwatch..Every patch we have todo it..Myself I've switched class mains all the time just because it's what we need and couldn't find anywhere. We just..We can't do it anymore.

As your Community Manager I promise I'll do my best, and I hope people are happy with the state of the game, but it sounds like you want to talk about a completely different topic than this thread is about. We're talking about the number of people playing, and I responded saying the number of people on Highwatch is very similar to other servers with players who don't share your complaint, and now you're being cynical and acting as though I'm treating you like a number instead of a person. I'm really not sure what else you're asking, though!

It sounds like you could use some guildies to run dungeons with. Unless that's what you mean by breeding other quality players, it sounds like there are people out there but you just don't want to group with them or help them out because you already helped other people in the past.

The point is that Highwatch no longer have any players of decent skill level. Previous crusade SSHM was cleared by what, like 20 different players if not less. That says a lot.

I certainly could use some guildies, I've been in every top guild on CH..From their rise to their fall..Conunity the first Hard core PvE guild on the server to Lewd a more casual but still very progressive endgame guild to Zenith which lays in the wastes and Agency the last hope for skilled players.
There was always another guild on the rise before..This time however there isn't.
There's noone here for progressive endgame..To learn and get better. It's gone stagnant
