@Cezzare . Liked your post. Really. I should also apologize for my bit of nerd rage on my previous post here. I won't edit it and leave it there for history purposes, but is not how I act. I was just having a bad morning and I don't even main sorc so I fully accept I'm bad at it...... though at least I'm not a perma fireball rotation sorc and my only sin with the class in IoD is not being able to get to the enemy's back because I don't run with the class much to obtain that skill yet. <.< Oh well...

Anyway. I think I stated this before, but even though I like solo content because I'm a foreveralone who does this as past time, bams were not meant to be solo content. See, their whole meaning was designed to be done by parties. That they are soloable? yes, they are. It's the same as using a fire engine to go house to house filling people's cisterns. The fire engine can do it, but it's not meant for that.

IoD bams are particularly resistant from the front. Maybe this could teach dps classes that they should all be attacking from behind. But, don't we all know that already? Maybe the whole concept is to tell a player, in a solo way, what class he should be maining? As in, whatever you can do IoD faster with, should be your main dps class. But what about healers and tanks? So I don't think that's the purpose either. Thing is, I have no idea why IoD was made the way it is right now, other than just slapping something together to give solo players something to do.

On Sorc? bi** please I went front crit with that one lng ago. Gave up trying to go behind anything.
Then you are simply a bad sorc, period. Start blaming your own incompetence for once instead of following the trend of these lazy casual playerbase who are lazy from playing button mashing easy classes.

No idea what made you say that. Maybe it makes you feel bigger to tell me I'm bad. Doesn't affect me since I have said and re-said in so many posts back that I'm a bad player and I don't care about fixing myself. I know I'm an incompetent player in all aspects. I suck, totally. I know it, and yes, I won't tell you to stop rubbing it in my face. If you feel like it, go broadcast it and make this post a meme in a random image site if it makes you feel better.

Anyway, rant off. No hard feelings. I have nothing against you for this because as I said it doesn't affect me. Being bottom of the ladder has the benefit of being un-hurtable. XD Carry on.
oh, and I'm currently 'maining' a Slayer. :p

AT least it wasn't the "you have 15 days" uber long rant like that meme'ed post from another game. :p

Was doing hydras yesterday on my DN lancer, and did note that these guys do spam attacks way too fast. I mean, Lightning spin followed by.... Lightning spin, then three of those spinning belt rush forward tramples? Also, about that rush forward spin belt thing. On classes that block or at least on my lancer, it sometimes... heck, many times, you press block only to be hit from behind (while the boss is in front of you) by the full attack for more than full damage because everything is critting as well. So only backstep helped me there.

I used to do these only on ninja and slayer, the classes where you can milk stuns and evades, so I never really noticed the real frequency these guys attacked with.

I don't know, how lancer can clear IOD bam as fast as brawler. I think, there is some glitch with lancer blocking againt Hydras attack. Sometimes, it knocks my lancer down while lancer was already blocking.

Still. Brawler and Ninja are easiest and fastest class for IOD.

Lancer is easy and fun. But, not as strong as brawler and ninja dps.

I'm only "ok" level at lancer, so I know there are ways for lancer to do these faster. The class has a few good stuns(leashes and shield bash) and one attack that sometimes stun(second hit of shield barrage), and a good deal of defensive stuff and even an attack block in Wallop so those are helpful as well. Guardian shout and adrenaline rush are also great for these fights. The Essential mana guide has good setups that can help newbie lancer players to deal with these fights too.

I think lancer is very close to brawler but somewhat requires a good knowledge on lancer class. Usually I farm my on my lancer IOD and takes me around ~25-30 minutes to finish 6 dailies depending how busy the channels are and if I have full buffs.

I actually recorded myself one time seeing how fast I can farm the top 3 bams (hydra, giant and naga). I'd say somewhere around 15-17 minutes to finish them. And I don't think I was at my best.

    [YouTube:vYQ1_Diwba4]

One thing I noticed is if I want to do is fast, I have to keep up my HTL as high as possible and rotations on point. I just hate when they trample walk at the wrong time lol.
  • Can confirm that Lancer face-rolls through IoD enemies even with not-great gear.
  • its been a while since i did iod bams on my lancer but it would take 15~20mins depending on how many ppl were doing bams at that time and the ping i was playing with. its a very easy class to do iod with but last few days ive been doing iod on an alt mystic and it felt like its one of, if not the easier, faster class to iod with...i mean im in dread gear with only slaughter weap and lvl58 dps crystals still i managed to complete the 3 high tier bams(naga/giant/hydras)in less than 15 minutes many times now...idk if the healers dmg is bugged on iod but hiting almost 3mil on a metamorphic smite on this gear seems pretty broken considering i barely hit 4mil on my geared warriors scythe

Also keep in mind the bams enrage around after 90 percent and it lasts for about ~37 seconds. When other classes such as healers or dps are trying to kill, once this 37 seconds is over, that's also one of the reasons it's harder or takes time to kill once the damage is less.

For lancer, I think they are close with brawler in terms of clearing time with IOD bams. With full HTL, good rotations and not as busy channel, most times I can finish all 6 bam dailies (fimberlisk, fangspawn, teralith, hydra, giant and naga) in about ~25-30 minutes.

I don't think I was at my best but I recorded a trial of myself to see how fast I can do the hydra, naga and giant on my lancer:

feazeshero, Thank you for uploading. I have +15 reaper and sorc. One of my brawler is +14 SF and farming brawler is +12 Slaughter. My lancer is +12 Slaughter.

I can clear 3x high tier bam quests in about 15~18min with +12 slaughter brawler. But, with +12 lancer, it takes about 25~28min. Lancer is surely easy as brawler and more fun. But, idk, at +12 lancer isn't fast as +12 brawler.

But, again, thank you for making it.

On my mystic I usually pull 3 BAMs at once and it gets the job done quickly :/ Still, I'd like to party up though but everyone's so quiet.

    **accidental double post**
  • Asking priest to kill 10 BAM like other classes is just stupid...It will be better if the number of kills needed is different for each class. For people saying about honing skills and experience, I don't think priest need to hone dps skills.

But IoD is not something that MUST be done in order to play the game. You get 8 vanguards to spend wherever you like, and healers are very sought after on dungeons and pvp. So as healer, you don't need to be stuck doing only IoD if you don't want. I feel IoD is more for DPS classes who cannot queue into anything fast enough. But that's just my opinion.

Here it is from a (still wet behind the ears) Berserker's PoV
    Warning: Music
No Keen Mote drugs were snorted in this video.

I started out getting smashed pretty hard by these things because of not having almost indefinite back-time. IoD more or less forced me to learn how to deal with all of these different attack patterns. Feels good not being terrible anymore.
