Regards to the new GvG System coming...
Does anyone have any additional information?
Also who else is excited about the removal of the alliance? All we need now is servers to all become Open World PvPvE and we're set.

Sounds similar to Alliance in that its a separate zone where you make outposts (?) and defend them, while attacking others, like salvaliths. You can make guild alliances (friendly/enemy) too I think, cant find where I read that...
New guild perks better apply in dungeons otherwise they'll be just as useless as the dark wings [filtered] and not make people want to get in a guild anymore than they do now...
You are still in the wrong guild for it LOL
Castanic Brotherhood? Sure.
And as far as being interesting, the most interesting part out of all of it, at least to me, would be how a "Certain person" In TR that we all know currently monopolizes all alliances, what he will do now that his "Hobby" will be taken away from him permanently and for good.
But I'd like to stick to the topic if possible. I'm mostly hoping the GvG will revitalise PvP. Since endgame PvE bores me to death and PvP can somewhat be interesting.
More so than that though, Alliance brought with it some very valuable stuff, increased credit gain, Gold Enchanter and most importantly INDOMITABLE ZYRKS which unless EME has a fix for this when it happens, Indomitable Zyrks will become impossible to obtain. There is no Vyrsks, so basically Ninjas and Reapers become completely unplayable for newer players, and if you think that doesn't effect you, you're wrong, nobody wants to be on the Skyring team of a Ninja/Reaper with no Indomitables. It's an important part of the game we cannot afford to lose, it's far more important than new GvGs.
The issue with PvP isn't that alliance isn't good, a large part of the current issue with PvP has to do with the many servers but low population of the game. The rest of it is just a result of changes that players didn't like such as.
PvP Gear is too hard to get (used to be much easier back when PvP was alive)
Gunners and Brawlers, people don't like them and they're everywhere.
Lastly, Equalized Skyring, it hurt the game quite a bit and the low population kept the game dead, it never really recovered from the EQ Skyring change.
In order for a game to thrive with PvP it has to not cater to unskilled or newer players while still being reasonable in expectation for a new player. Gaining old Strikeforce gear and then going into Skyring was fine, Using new Skyring to grind out Conflate which you cannot use in Skyring isn't.
Lol Castanic Brotherhood you mean the one that gets rekt all the time in BGs ? I play on VoT and MT but everytime I see those Castanic Brotherhood in Fraywind I know it's a lost game.
Just came back after a few month and first thing I see is a wannabe guild posting, didn't realise you are on a PVE server.
You don't have to come up with blabbering and nonsensical speeches — this has been proven on EU when they had an equalized premade event. So it doesn't matter how you think EQ sucks or not and makes it worse off, the facts are there and its activity was insane (relative to the EU population which is 1/5 of here).
GW2, Skyforge, Blade & Soul, Dragon's Nest, and soon WoW. All of these games have equalized/normalized and "balanced" small scale competitive game modes, most likely 3v3. (5v5 in GW2, as it has no 3v3 mode). Because that's the PROPER WAY to do it.
TERA is an oddball that clings to a cancerous past of trash games like L2, it's about time it steps up into the next generation of games and equalizes it already. Perhaps then they'll even consider esports, and no I'm not trolling about it or comparing it with non-MMOs at all. In fact I'm comparing it with the MMOs i just mentioned earlier, all of them having an esport presence more or less. Christ, even World of Tanks has esport scene.
What a waste of potential from TERA's combat if that crap game has a scene and this one doesn't.
Don't start with how it doesn't fit this game. This game has combat and gameplay in PvP worth of esports more than most of the other games (which btw also suffer from desync). Why would it fit all of those games and not TERA? Don't speak [filtered].
alliance is dead content that is so easy to exploit. so yes its good that it got replaced for something hopefully better, cus it cant be worse than what we have atm for certain. and alliance brings nothing valuable rn. crystals can easily be put to some other npc. and why dps classes use pvp defense crystals? theyre squishy as hell even with those crystals so u might as well kill your enemies faster.
issue with pvp is its not rewarding compared to pve. not cus of population, since bgs are cross servers. also pvp gear is mostly irrelevant with all the equalized bgs we got. even then conflate is not hard to get at all. if you cant beat gunners its completely your lack of skill, most of the old classes outclass gunner pvp by a good amount thanks to their lack of cc. and brawlers are overrated, still powerful yes, but overrated. especially after their counter-punch distance nerf.
Amount of players playing it doesn't do much in the long run, if you cater to newbies yea sure you may get twice the people playing at first, but it'll kill the game for the experienced players, it'll lose that competitive feel and and they will quit, once the good players start to quit the rest get sick of having bad players on their team every game and the whole thing just falls apart. No more road to 1800s, because 1200 is mostly good enough and it's just not fun to climb higher. Once you get rid of all those top players even the newbies that the change was meant to help start to lose interest, with no high rated players to look up to and try to be like, or take on, it just becomes pointless.
I don't the right decision is to make Skyring unequalized right now, because if that happened barely anyone would be able to play it, but I do think that making it EQ in the first place hurt the game big time.
They're not gonna replace the passive, or the gold enchanter, I doubt they'll even put the indomitables in another NPC for the first while, the players will complain and a week or two later it will be added to the battleground shop, because that's how EME works, they don't have people who understand the game (PvP) well enough to forsee these issues.
I really hope that comment about not using Indomitables was a joke, queue for Skyring as a Ninja without Indomitables, you will be kicked at least 1/4 of the time. and you'll lose most of your games because people can tell when they hit you that you aren't using Indoms, it is so easy to burst a Ninja/Reaper when they don't use Indoms, just plague them and then double up on them, they drop before a Mystic can cleanse the CC they are in.
PvP atm is very reward (It'll be less rewarding after alliance is removed since all the new Guild battles reward goes to a single guild) currently you can make 10-70k off alliance a week so easily, Strongbox keys will always be relevant and even though the amount is complete [filtered], Titans Embers are pretty good to.
I think Conflate might be the most difficult PvP gear to obtain that has ever existed in Tera aside from VM pieces. I didn't say I couldn't beat Gunners, or even the players who quit during Gunner release couldn't beat them, it's not that you can't beat them, it's that it isn't worth it to fight them. They ARE overpowered, and even if you can beat them, it's annoying and not worth it at all.
As for Brawler they have a guaranteed CC that knocks up everyone in a radius of like 12m from the target.
This game was killed by it's willingness to cater to the inexperienced and unskilled players, instead of aiming for a more competitive PvP experience, they tried to make it easier for PvE'rs, newer players and other casual players to get into it, yet despite all that BHS's way of balancing it out was to just make PvP gear harder and harder to get. I ended up quitting shortly after VM3 and returned for VM4 until VM5 was released which I again quit until VM6. As far as I can remember nobody had VM3 during the time I played, I was preparing for it and I know a few others were to, but it ended up being such a [filtered] grind or just gathering and being restricted by production points that I never saw anyone obtain a single piece of it for the short while I stayed (Which wasn't that short, I did do quite a bit during that patch) I'm sure someone people eventually did get it but the point is that they should have stuck with what they had where 1 piece of gear is super easy to get and the other is only a little stronger and much harder. Instead of making it all much harder but ultimately useless in anything but Fraywind and duels.
And make Skyring (and the others maybe) both EQ and non-EQ, problem solved. People who worked hard for their gear and want to try it in action can go un-EQ, people who want to test their skills (incl. the ones who are super-geared) can go EQ...
It had its flaws, but I really enjoyed the castle siege system. I'd love to see something like that here, in the new GvG system!
I also can't help but anticipate the new bosses as being like L2, where guilds would battle over access to killing them. That led to a lot of good PvP battles, since it was such an important objective. It really bolstered GvG.
