A light hearted question... Literally!

So for a light hearted question... Literally! I have seen some players use some kind of ability to make these funny golden hearts spring up from the ground with wacky sound effect. Is this a cash shop item? Event item? Valentines day event item maybe? I went through the emotes and couldn't find it. I just think it's funny seeing someone being beside a campfire or BAM and suddenly this happens. Any help for this newbie to game would be appreciated.

  • Nop. It's a greeting skill. You see it on your skill tab. :)

yes it is one of the most ridiculous things ever introduced next to my little pony. and yes it's in your skill tab.
  • I can see how it could get annoying in a hurry. I'm new to the game and when I first saw it I was out questing and ninja pulled up beside a BAM and said " I'm going to kill this BAM okay? " With the floating hearts. What can I say it caught me off guard and I loled at the visual.

It's the personalized greeting skill. Sometimes it can get a little annoying because it forces your character into the wave emote when someone uses it on you. However, if someone uses it on you, it does give you an out of combat movement speed buff. By default, it's located on the f12 shortcut, but you can move it to where ever you'd like it to be. You can personalize the greetings by opening your skill menu (default shortcut is "k"), scrolling to the bottom of the menu till you find the skill's icon, then clicking on the skill. A bar button should pop up on the upper right corner of the skill menu. It will say something along the lines of editing your greeting. Just click it and have at your greetings (so long as they are 20 characters or less).

Then if you would like to use it on someone, just aim your cross-hairs at the person you want to greet and push they shortcut key you have it set to ( or right click it's icon in the skill menu/ on the additional tray if you use that).
