So I convinced my mom to start Instagram account
Hello there,
I started play TERA again after 2 years break after my father died 3 months ago just to get myself tired so I could get some sleep. Thank you all the players that help me to distract myself and my guild (Heartbeat), that are really nice and funny people.
So I convinced my mom to start Instagram account so she can show some beautiful things she sees in our town. I told her "Mom, it's so cool. You can add tags and a lot of people around the world can see, and comment and like". So she got a picture of roses she really adore and we added some tags and then... it was like a really big f.uck up of mine. I see that picture isn't really cool, it's like average photo and I myself wouldn't like it. And it was whole my idea to get her distracted... So I asked my friend to like it. So now there are my like, my sister's like and my friend's. And my mom was so sad I though I would kill myself for doing this to her.
Please, help! I know there are some nice people in this community that can like her photo. I think several likes will be ok, just she won't be completely ignored. I'm not advertising my account here. I just ask for help to fix my mistake.

What does this even mean?
Thank you a lot!
Unfortunately I don't do social media so I don't have an Instagram account. But if it helps, you can tell your mom her picture gets a "virtual" virtual "like" from me.
On a side note, I understand you are most likely young so this is probably something you don't understand right now, but you may begin to understand later. Life isn't a popularity contest. It doesn't matter whether or not other people "like" you or the stuff that you like. I know there is a lot of pressure to fit in and be cool and popular, etc., especially online with social media and stuff. I get that, we are social animals, we thrive on social acceptance, and social rejection can lead to depression. I was young once, too. I really wanted to be cool and popular and to fit in with my peers, because I thought that was important. In reality, it's not nearly as important as you think it is.
So then what is important? Look at the relationship you have with your mother, or the one you had with your father. Your close friends, family, loved ones. Spouse or significant other. The relationship you have with yourself, meaning the things that you are passionate about. Those are the things that are really important in life. Not whether or not some stranger on the internet approves of you, that is completely irrelevant in the grand scheme of things. The things that make you laugh, or cry, or feel happy or excited, those are the things that matter.
Your mother took a picture of some flowers that she likes. I can see why she likes them, they are very beautiful. Sure, it's a simple picture perhaps. Nothing really special or out of the ordinary. But they are special to her. And they are pretty. It's a very nice picture. Don't worry about how many "likes" it gets. Most people are too self absorbed to take the time to appreciate things like this. Don't take it personally; it doesn't mean that it's bad, just because other people are too busy or narcissistic to care. The true value of a photograph, or any work of art is not the value that other people assign to it, but rather the value it has to the person who made it. For example: if you take a picture of your child, the rest of the world might not care at all. But to you, that picture is priceless. THAT is what is really important.
Sorry to get all philosophical. I'm just a tired, aging introspective man who no longer cares what the rest of the world thinks about me, because I've spent far too many years trying to appease other people only to have nothing to show for it. Ultimately, what do those "likes" on your profile really get you? Love, money, success, happiness? No, none of the above. Just be yourself and do what you like, and treasure your time with the people who mean the most to you. Everything else is superficial.
Again, those flowers are very pretty, it's a very nice picture. I can understand why your mom likes them. That's all that matters. That's my opinion... you can either choose to graciously accept my opinion, or instead you can sit there and worry how come "everyone else" doesn't like it. Maybe everyone else is stupid, or shallow, or they prefer yellow flowers instead, or maybe they just don't care because they're preoccupied with other things... whatever, it's irrelevant. There are more than 7 billion people on the planet and they all have different opinions about everything. If you're judging the value of something based on what other people think, then you're probably looking at things all wrong. But then... that's just my humble opinion.
